Cannot sign in to "New" CPAP.com

Post by MurrayNevada » Mon Sep 30, 2024 9:18 pm

What has changed? Won't let me sign in and won't send an "account activation email" as seems to be necessary. I've had an account there for almost 20-years.

um, it seems you HAVE signed in. I see your avatar and below it, it says posts 230 and joined Sun May 20 2018.

which is actually 6 years.

maybe there are two people with the same user name??

Please note that the complaint is about cpap.com sign in process and not cpaptalk.com (which is the forum here).

Thank you Zonker for incorrectly correcting me in your post. I envy the free time you obviously enjoy.

Thank you Pugsy. I was able to activate the account with the help of a CPAP.com associate during a telephone conversation this morning. It seems they upgraded their website about 3-weeks ago and a number of people have had the same issue. All fixed now.

To be fair to those that their first thought was "well you are posting so you are signed in now" and not realizing that cpap.com has apparently been having log in problems similar to those that several here on cpaptalk.com/forum........maybe nice to know you aren't the only ones with log in problems.

Cpap.com and cpaptalk.com are 2 different entities even though one entity owns both.....they are NOT the same thing.

cpaptalk.com has had some problems in the last few months with people not being able to get logged in when they get a message that they have been banned....and they haven't been banned...
I guess cpap.com is also having some sort of problem with people logging in.

Software issue folks....it happens.

I was a little short with Zonker in my previous post and I apologize for that.

i've been thinking about this thread since apologizing and logging off. of course I have! despite the fact that I make so many gaffs, that doesn't mean I don't feel badly about them.

what struck in particular is your comment. now, this forum is filled with very smart people who dish out good advice every day. but every now and then, I see something that I think one of the wise forum members has said that was just a little bit off. when I see that, I give them a private message and ask something along the lines of "did you mean to say that?". or I might point out that I didn't think that the user posting the question was stating it way the wise forum member thought.

what I mean to say is that I communicate privately with them. and sometimes, they take what I say with a grain of salt. and sometimes, they thank me because they hadn't seen it that way. but the point is to make that correction private and this gives the person the opportunity to either modify their answer or delete it entirely.

I realize in this case, it wouldn't have made a bit of difference as I wouldn't have seen it in time to delete my dumbass comment.

it's just something I think we need to take into consideration in these situations.

but as forum friend Lazarus is fond of saying, just sayin'!

forum friend Lazarus
I make it a point to make mistakes in this forum on a regular basis in order to get plenty of practice apologizing. I find that to be a general skill I need to have ready in order for my wife to tolerate me.

Usually.

When I had trouble logging in to the new CPAP.com, I just gave up and purchased elsewhere. So I guess maybe my next goal should be to work on my patience and persistence. But who has time for that?

Oh. Sorry.

I just like to mention your name from time to time because I know how it gives you that warm and fuzzy feeling of recognition.

Well, the most important thing to me is that I get mentioned more often than Mr. Slobber or Granny.
