Puffy Eyelids
I've been using my machine now for three months and I still don't have it perfected, but I'm managing to sleep about 6 hours a night and have worked out a lot of problems, thanks to your helpful advice. The latest problem involves puffy eyes--or eyelids, to be exact, and bags under my eyes. I've started waking up with swollen eyelids and also very dry skin on my cheeks. I've noticed that my eyes are also dryer than usual--I even had a case of blepharitis last week. This came after I'd reduced the pressure on my machine from 7 to 6 CFlex, which seems strange since I don't understand how less pressure could cause this problem unless I'm sleeping undisturbed longer, which would equal more time with air blowing in my face. I've had occasions when I've been aware of my nasal pillows leaking, so I went up from a small size to a medium size nasal pillow, and I'm not aware of this problem anymore, plus my husband isn't complaining about noise. However, when I look at Sleepyhead, I see that I do have leaks during the night, just not "large" leaks. My average leak rate as of last night was 1.24. Two things that I've begun to do is use Lasinoh ointment on my cheeks--it helps--and using a sleep mask at night, just in case air is blowing up into my eyes. I think the puffy eyes weren't as bad this morning after using the sleep mask, but they were still in the puffier than normal range. I plan to go get some eye drops or gel for super-dry eyes and try that tonight.

Sleep mask helps. You need a mask that cups over the eyes, not presses on the eyes. Walgreens sells a blue one that cups the eyes (about $8). I only have the puffy eye thing when I have leaks, so I'm pretty certain it is common!

Re: Puffy Eyelids
I'd been using a home made (by me) sleep mask which pressed my eyes a bit. I think it helped a little with the puffy eyes, but not much. So I went and bought myself a mask with the cups over the eyes and wore them last night. They were very comfy and this morning I didn't have puffy eyes--Success! I also found that I slept better, so that's progress. Thanks for the tip.
