Dropped mask on floor

Post by Bev07 » Wed May 26, 2021 5:52 pm

So, I was heading to bed and accidentally dropped my mask on the floor while about to put it on.
Would you just use it still? I thought maybe blowing some air through it would blow out any potential dust that might've went inside, but I'm not sure if I should do a full cleaning..

I dribble mine like a basketball every night before going to bed.

A little dust won't hurt you, you DO know what most dust is made of, right?

Probably get more germs on it when you cough or sneeze with it on.

If mine had hit the floor I would have thrown it away immediately wearing a pair of gloves and an N90 mask as not to be contaminated by my own germs. Then I would have cleaned and disinfected the whole floor, walls, ceilings right after. Possibly would have set fire to the home and restarted from scratch. I know this isn't as much as others would have done. I am not that big of a germaphobe though.

When my mask falls to the floor, I remind myself of the amount of junk I am exposed to every day. So no biggie. Mama says you have to eat a pick of dirt before you die. Granny, would you agree with that old wives tale?

"peck" of dirt, as my mom used to say!

Eight quarts in a peck; and four pecks in a bushel.
That is a shirtload of dirt.
