Airfit N30i
Airfit N30i
I am thinking of switching to a Airfit N30i mask rather than Airfit 20 which I now have. My eyes get very dry and I see the N30i has the vent at the top of your head. Also my mouth falls open when I sleep. Would the N30i work better? Need some advise before changing since the trial period is over now.

Re: Airfit N30i
The N30i also has a vent at the front of the mask. Your dry eyes are most likely coming from unintentional mask leaks. Find the F20 on youtube and watch some videos about fitting and adjusting. Some of the videos are very good.
You need to do something about this. Here are some ideas.
1. Keep the tip of your tongue on the roof of your mouth. Practice keeping it in this position to help train the mouth to stay closed.
2. Tape your mouth shut.
3. Switch to a full face mask. A FFM covers both the nose and mouth and allows CPAP to be effective when the mouth opens.
The N30i is a great mask, but it is unlikely to solve the open-mouth issue.

Second the idea of a FF mask - works great once you get used to it.

Re: Airfit N30i
I use an N30i and also use kinesiology tape across my mouth to keep it shut. Works brilliantly. I can’t use a full face mask and am thankful for the N30i and the DreamWear nasal cushion mask.
