My untreated sleep apnea has resulted in kidney damage. :(

Doctor have confirmed I have kidney damage due to persistent stage 2 hypertension, most of which was due to my sleep apnea. If I had only known how serious sleep apnea was I wouldn't have waited 8 years to see a doctor about it.

Sorry to hear that. I had my uro CT last week and get my results back Thursday after more testing.

Yesterday while I was visiting a parishoner in the hospital on unrelated issues, he mentioned that he kinda likes having a urinal since at home he gets up to potty several times a night. I immediately asked if he snores, and when he said yes told him to ask for a sleep study. Gotta spread the word and save people one at a time.

Doug so sorry to read about your kidney damage I'm at stage 4 chronic kidney disease caused by otc motrim and simular pain pills, I have found a world of help through the DaVita web site you can also search chronic kidney disease for tons of good information. I know I was in a panic when first diagnosed but have made peace with condition 90% of the time good luck
