behind-the-ear cpap mask
As someone who has a tremendous amount of claustrophobia, I've been told that a mask that loops behind the ears might be the best option. I have now tried 6 masks that have not worked. I'm desperate! Has anyone tried a mask that loops behind the ears? Pros and cons? Other recommendations welcome. TIA.

Re: Want to try a different mask...suggestions?
Thank you for sharing your Inspire experience and I'm so sorry you are going through this. I'm having a lot of CPAP problems that are exacerbated by chronic sinusitis and asymptomatic gastric reflux. My ENT who is also a sleep specialist recommended I stop CPAP until other problems are resolved and ...

More tired than ever
My ENT discovered that I have chronic sinusitis, which resulted in inflamed vocal cords and inability to breathe through my nose. He thought it best to stop using my CPAP machine until this problem is resolved. I started using the machine in March 2024 and never had good compliance, though I tried h...

Acupuncture and Moderate Sleep Apnea
After 3 CPAP masks and almost 90 days, I realized that CPAP is not the best option for my moderate sleep apnea. I am reluctant to try Inspire, although some people really like it. Has anyone tried acupuncture? If so, has it helped? Did you try CPAP first? Any other recommendations for those of us wh...

Re: CANNOT get used to nasal pillow
Thanks. Great idea. At this point, I will try almost ANYTHING! A mojito would def put me to sleep but I'm sober so that's not an option!

Re: My personal experience with Inspire for Sleep Apneas
Thank you for your post. I’ve been on CPAP for one month and the longest I’ve slept is 2 hours. I’m very claustrophobic and I’m using a pillow mask with headgear. Had mask rep out to house to make sure fit was ok. I’m really anxious even thinking about the mask! How long did you try CPAP before gett...

CANNOT get used to nasal pillow
One month in and hate this. Have ResMed N30 mask with headgear. VERY claustrophobic. Longest I’ve slept with mask is 2 hours. Had mask company rep come to house for recommendations. Very anxious any time mask is on. Suggestions appreciated. TIA.
