sleep Studies in motels

The Wall Street Journal of June 21, 2005 has an article on an outfit that does sleep studies in motels. They lease a block of rooms at motels on a monthly basis and do sleep studies just like hospital based studies. Patients are encouraged to use the motels facilities: pool, excercise room, restraur...

Vision

My eye doctor advised me not to change my glasses when my blood glucose is not in good control. I am nearsighted and my vision gets better (less nearsighted) when my blood sugar is high. The Doc says it has to do with the moisture level (changing to to glucose levels) in the eye's lens changing the ...

full face mask

I used a Ultra Mirage FF mask which was ok but have been using a Oracle for the last three or four weeks which I like better and, for me, leaks less.

Jaw advancement procedure

I went to a AWAKE meeting this week were the speaker was a Maxiofacial Surgeon who spoke on Maxillo-Mandibular Advancement. This is a six hour procedure which he only preforms on severe cases of OSA (AHI>40) who are non CPAP compliant. (I suppose insurance won't pay otherwise). The lower jaw is move...

FL andy, please let me know how loud the alarm you ordered is.

I am moderately hard of hearing particularly at certain frequencies. For instance, I can't hear the leak alarm on the REMstar even if I'm awake. My wife complains it wakes her up while I keep on sleeping - so I deactivated it.

Since the on line price differential between the Remstar Auto without C-Flex and with C-Flex is small why would one want one here in the States without c-flex assuming there is no other difference (since the C-flex can be turned off on both models). Just a thought. In your location in Australia ther...
