Waterpik tubing
My WaterPik W65's tube/hose cracked and leaked at the handle. I opened the handle, removed the piece on the handle, snipped the remaining end attached to the machine and reconnected it. Then it cracked again. I decided to replace the hose with a better hose and in order to do that I opened the machi...

Apria bought out my DME
I really liked my DME, HCS Praxair (Home Care Supply) on Long Island. I posted that a little while back. They really bent over backwards to help me and now I am getting very good results. Unfortunately, Apria bought them. I have read on here about some really crappy things Apria does. With Home Care...

Sometimes you just don't see it. As some of you know, I have had some problems with my vpap auto 25 because of the PS setting (was set to diff between Ipap and Epap) and AHI problems from a not so great FF FP Forma mask. The problems lasted from the time I got my machine to some time in October, may...

Re: Allergy problems in Florida
I never closed this saga of the itchy eyes, there seems to be so many sagas. I figured it out. It wasn't the weather or the spraying. In Florida we have a GE stackable washer and dryer that isn't vented. The lint is supposed to hit against the door, which besides being a solid piece of sheet metal th...

Re: Allergy problems in Florida
Someone mentioned vaseline in your eyes--they probably meant petrolatum ophthalmic jelly. Only use an ophthalmic product in your eyes--and keep it off your mask. Petrolatum + silicone = bad news. Frog, absolutely, as now I can hardly see the laptop screen because of the antibiotic salve that I have...

Re: Allergy problems in Florida
Hi Alan, Perhaps where you are staying has some new landscaping and plants you were not exposed to before? There are so many plants here that it is hard to know what might set you off. I underwent allergy testing last spring, and didn't react to any of the plant allergens they injected. However, I ...

Re: Allergy problems in Florida
As a Floridian.... I can tell you that you are now in an environment filled with pollens your system is unfamiliar with!! I never had an allergy until I moved here 36 yrs ago. My bad season is about to begin... Jan. thru April is the worst for me. If we have a mild remainder of the winter, the flor...

Re: Happy New Year....
Moonbear, wonderfully said! Wishing all of you and your families a Happy and Healthy New Year. As far a better therapy, perhaps we need to find ways to hold the equipment manufacturers feet to the fire and prevent them from inhibiting our therapy. Let's make them complicit with our getting the best ...

Re: Need help with Forma mask leaks
Last night was my first night with my new F&P Forma mask, and the results were less than spectacular. According to my Encore Viewer report for last night, my average leak was a responding 62.2 lpm, and I spent 12.8% of the night in large leak! As you can see from my mask listed below my previous ma...

login for my.respironics.com
Anyone have a login for my.respironics.com. I want to get the latest version of Encore Pro. I am in Florida with my bipap auto m, I have the card reader but no software. I would like to have the latest version so that I can transfer my old Encore Pro 1.8 files because I don't want to have to carry p...

It's not perfect but if you'd like to take it, it will be quick and might provide some interesting results. I am curious how much better cpap...

Re: AIs =/= leaks
Two thoughts, albeit I have no experience with bibap units: 1. you don't show leak data, that will influence your Ahi, ai and hi numbers. 2. on ResMed cpap/apap machines, i don't pay a lot of attention to total ahi and hi, only ai Your second set of numbers aren't bad, if we had the leak line data,...
