I couldn't get it to seal properly, the resp. therapist at the DME warned me that it may be a problem. I figured it was worth a try anyway. the only way I could get any kind of seal was if I laid absolutely still, which is impossible as I tend to toss & turn as I sleep. he mask was $140 or so new, l...

Ultra Mirage Full Face for sale

I purchased a ResMed Ultra Mirage Full Face (size Medium,Standard Cushion) mask a couple of weeks ago, hoping that it would solve my mouth-leaking problems. I tried it on 2 seperate nights for about 15-20 minutes each night and couldn't tolerate it. It can't be returned since it's opened up, & if I ...

Ok it's been a week since I last posted on the drymouth subject. I have considered purchasing a FF mask, mouthgards, etc. Last nite I changed my normal pillow setup (I have slept with 2 pillows since I was a kid) to one of those temper-pedic type pillows and my wife said that I didn't wake her up on...

Drymouth

OK here's my situation. I use a Remstar Pro2 CPAP with heated humidifier with fairly low pressure @12.5CM2 My mask is an Activa. I like a cool bedroom and we set our heat at about 59 degrees at nite to save on heating oil costs as well. I am very warm blooded and sweat buckets all the time (not a me...

I too use Reverse Osmosis water in my machine. RO water is the purest water currently known to mankind. Even more pure than distilled. RO removes 99.9% of minerals & bacteria. There is no known way of purifying water better than Reverse Osmosis. I have an undersink model (GE) that filters up to 10 g...

do I need to change pressure for elevation?

My machine (Remstar Pro2 cflex) only had automatic adjustment up to 7500 feet, when I went to visit my brother in Colorado (9200') I had to bump the settings up a bit. I was set at 12 for sea level, went up to 17 for the altitude, spend the week playing around with it to make it more comfortable, as...

Altitude question

Just wondering how effective the auto altitude adjustment works, I will be travelling to Colorado in a few weeks, staying at my brothers house for a week at just below 10,000 feet. The first few days there it can be difficult to breathe as it is, I can imagine it may be more difficult with a CPAP st...

Question:How to change pressure on REMstar pro2/Cflex?

Been on CPAP for 3 weeks now, using a REMstar Pro2 with C-flex set at 11cm, as prescribed by my primary care physician. I finally saw the pulmonary/sleep specialist today for the first time, he wants my machine bumped up to a setting of 13. I would like to do this myself, rather than travel 45 mins....

I have mine set @"4" and it takes 20 mins to get up to full pressure of "11", I find that I need the ramp to get me started every night, I have only been a CPAP user for less that 2 weeks and am having good luck so far! Don't give up you can do it!!!! Steve @ F...
