Re: Which chinstrap?
I really like the Puresome. I use the straps both in front and back of my head for a secure fit. It's comfortable, and it's inexpensive. Here's a link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Puresom-Secure-Adjustable-CPAP-Sleep-Apnea-Chin-Strap-/380635455552?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item589fa42040 This one does ...

Re: Going on a cruise in January
I used the terrible Los Angeles tap water when I went on a trip there last month. After a week, I had scale in my humidifier. I let it soak with vinegar, and it became as good as new.

Re: Check out what I received in exchange for a new pillow!!!
My Optilife cradle cushions all got an orange discoloration to them. I thought it was due to exposure to the air, but I have one on a shelf still in the original sealed plastic which is getting an orange discoloration to it as well.

Re: OptiLife Cradle Cushions
I have used the Optilife for most of my CPAP years (3 out 4 to be exact). The cradle cushion was a godsend. I used medium pillows, but I use a small cradle cushion. However, the Optilife is not my favorite mask anymore. I have trouble with the plastic parts digging in to my jaws as night, and it doe...

Re: Las Vegas- forgot humidifier hose
Found a guy on craigslist who gets off at 5 who is going to sell me one for 15 bucks. I know some people can do go without a humidifier but I really can't. Thanks everyone, Rob I'm glad to hear that worked for you. You can't be in the desert and not have a humidifier. I know because I live in the d...

I'm not sure dish washer detergent is good on parts either. It is too strong. Many have bleach in them.
I've always washed my stuff with baby shampoo.

Re: Excessively Sleepy after three years of Therapy ! Why ?
3 yrs into treatment. Narcolepsy could be a possibility. My sleep doc stated if my cpap treatment is perfoming as it should (data), and I still feel tired or not energized, he would have me scheduled for narcolepsy/oxygen study. Actually, I was suppose to be tested for narcolepsy during my sleep st...

Re: Cold: Nasal Stuffiness for 9 Days Now!!!
I went out and bought the NeilMed Sinus Rinse with the special bottle. It took a long of gunk out of my sinuses, and it cleared them up. At least one side was open enough to breathe with my CPAP. I was really surprised. I haven been using a Neti Pot for a few years now, but I think this positive pre...

Re: Cold: Nasal Stuffiness for 9 Days Now!!!
Yes, I turned it up to allow for more moisture because of so much breathing through my mouth during the day caused such dryness and coughing fits.
I'm wondering if my CPAP is causing the sinuses to stay swollen because of the air. I'm so tired of this.

Re: OptiLife Nasal Cradle Question
I use the Optilife with the cradle cushion, and I LOVE it. It fits right under my nose. I do get more leaks with it that I do with other masks, but I still feel good.

Cold: Nasal Stuffiness for 9 Days Now!!!
I've had a cold since last Thursday. I've had nasal congestion for the whole time. I use Dristan 12 hour nasal spray, but I can't anymore because it's not suggested to use it more than 3 days. I went to the doctor a few days ago, and I got a steroid shot to help reduce inflammation, but it didn't wo...

Re: Marks on the Face
I use PadaCheeks, but I still get marks. The marks are reduced when I use PadACheeks. Mine usually go away by the time I go to work. I usually get up 1.5 hours before I have to go to work. I get in the shower first thing in the morning.
