There's a well known correlation between GERD and OSA. The lungs try to suck in air. The throat is blocked. So, stomach acid is sucked up into the esophagus.

Re: Poll: How Often Do You Clean Your Tank?
For the people that voted never, do you at least wipe it out once in a while? It seems like even with distilled water it's possible that mold spores or bacteria could get in there and grow eventually, right? I voted never but that isn't quite true. I found a very small amount of slime in it one tim...

After I almost pulled it off once or twice, I started using an 8 foot hose. No problems since.

Re: Newbie-1st night was the pitts
Welcome to the xpap club LittasGabby! You just described most people's first night I think. (Except for the violently ill part.) Excited, ready for a good night's sleep, and then realizing that it isn't easy to sleep with a leaf blower attached to your face. You will get used to it. You will get to ...

I agree with Den, you shouldn't have to pay any upcharge.
In any case, make sure you check prices on cpap.com before you go. Your share of payments and/or deductable plus upcharge may be more than they are selling for online.

I use an M-series auto and my HI is almost always higher than my AI. My impression is, that is the norm.

I did that last night. I took out the data card, cranked the humidifier up to high & watched TV. It helped clear my sinuses a bit. I also slept with the humidifier up a bit higher than I usually do last night. I woke up much better. Had a bit of rainout though. Wish I had the new PR machine. Dan

It looks like older people voted more during the middle of the day
and people in the 30's & 40's voted more toward the end of the day after working hours.
Hmmm, makes sense.

I download twice a week any time I change anything (Mask, Machine settings, etc.) or if I'm having a problem. When everything is going fine & no changes then I download around every 2 weeks or so.
