Re: Encore Pro Version 1.8 Running on Windows7 Ultimate

Starting the "Smart Card" service (and changing the startup type) in the Win7 Service Manager did the trick!!!

Thanks DJ!

Re: Encore Pro Version 1.8 Running on Windows7 Ultimate

Using Windows Update to bring the XP Mode OS up to date had the expected result... nothing To get the Card reader to be read in both XP Mode and Windows 7: go to where you change the settings for the card reader from Manual to Automatic and it will read it. I did a clean install of Windows 7 Profess...

Re: Encore Pro Version 1.8 Running on Windows7 Ultimate

One of the reasons I upgraded my Vista64 Ultimate partition to Win7 was in the hopes that I would be able to use "XP Mode" to finally get rid of my Vista32 partition. The only remaining reason for my keeping Vista32 around was for downloading the data from the Encore Pro smart cards. While the 'in-p...

I think the PowerPack 1500 would be way overkill, and even uglier. It's 15 in tall (withouout the handle), so it proably won't fit under the bed.
Not to mention that I think the 1500 refers to the weight instead of the capacity!

<snip> The conclusion is that on dc power, the charger is almost able to keep up meaning that the battery is in pretty good shape in the morning, but on ac through the inverter, the nightly load would take about 3.5 Ah out of the battery (8 hours times an average of 0.45 amps) which has to be repla...

My DME is telling me that the insurance company is requiring them to have a doctor's note stating that I'm unable to tolerate straight CPAP at my titrated pressure of 20cm! (has anyone ever been able to?) Too bad my doc has suddenly decided that he can no longer take my word for it (since he knows n...

Once I got a hose cover and started turning up the heated humidifier, my cat quickly discovered that the now warm & fuzzy hose was the purrfect bed for her to sleep on at night... fortunately, there have only been a couple of occasions when I've rolled over in my sleep, only to have my mask nearly r...

Unfortunately it doesn't help me solve why my RemStar doesn't appear to write to them. ummm, this may be a dumb question, but is there any chance that the problem is on the "read" side of the equation instead of the "write" side? Has anyone tried to read the cards from your machine besides the peop...

Re: Who is using the "My Encore Program?

As others have stated, using a PDF print driver will get you most of the way where you're trying to go. There are some free ones out there, but I won't recommend the one I'm using, since it puts an advert in the header/footer of every page (I intend to check out this PrimoPDF that's been mentioned)....

Great photos!!! The card reader has always been a problem since I bought the machine. If I put the card in white side up (which it turns out is the correct way) I get a C-1 flashing error & a constant beep. It always did this so I assumed the card had to go in picture side up as it registers the car...

After smoking for half of my life (so far anyway), I had my last cigarette about 10 minutes before the accident that started me on this wonderful 'medical adventure' (follow the link in my signature for more information). Since I was in the hospital for a month, with 9 of those days spent in ICU, I ...
