Re: Help with cleaning dishwasher safe humidifier 4i
Well, I have NEVER put anything in my tank other than distilled water and I still had a pinkish mold growing in several unreachable areas that even a good soak with vinegar would NOT remove. This tank(the container for water) IS washable in the dishwasher according to the manufacturer!!!!!! You remo...

Re: Help with cleaning dishwasher safe humidifier 4i
Thanks for the input. I have watched the video in fact that is how I found out that there was a unit that could be put in the dishwasher. Mine does have the hinges and the same heating element as described in the video for the Resmed that can be washed in the dishwasher. I still am having trouble fi...

Re: Help with cleaning dishwasher safe humidifier 4i
This new humidifier is specifically made to wash in the dishwasher, my salesperson removed the plate in order to do that. I guess I will just have to call her and see if she can instruct me over the phone. Just thought someone on this site might have the same equipment and had removed the plate for ...

Help with cleaning dishwasher safe humidifier 4i
Hello All- Finally got a new humidifier tank for my Resmed cpap and it is one that is dishwasher safe. However, I have not been able to figure out how to remove the heating plate on the bottom of the tank. My salesperson showed me how but I was in a big hurry and now I've forgotten how to unclip the...

What exactly is unstable breathing??
Hello again- I have been seeing in some posts a reference to unstable breathing and I cannot really find a suitable definition of what it is and how to know if you are experiencing it and how to remedy the problem. I am wondering if I may be having such a problem and it is causing my pap usage to be...

Re: Bruxism ( teeth grinding and clenching) solutions?
Thanks everyone for the helpful posts. I think that maybe my pressure may currently be too low but with the severe issues I have with aerophagia I am miserable with a higher pressure. I have an appt. next week with my dentist to discuss an appliance for the clenching. I am aware that it will probabl...

Bruxism ( teeth grinding and clenching) solutions?
Good Morning Everyone- I am currently experiencing gum recession that my dentist thinks may be a result of teeth grinding during the night. He says that the constant pressure may be creating too much stress on the teeth and therefore mayking the gums receed. I have my doubts about this theory but ca...

Re: Trying to set ResMed Autoset ??
Happy 4th to you ALL!!! I've been experiementing for the last few weeks with my machine set on auto in order to try and find a pressure that would give me better sleep results without so much aerophagia. I have such varied results that I am once again TOTALLY confused as to what to do now. Initially...

Re: Trying to set ResMed Autoset ??
Thanks robysue for the detailed answer. Yes, I usually begin to feel some stomach pressure from the minute I "strap on" my mask and turn on my machine. Most nights I can feel my stomach fill up after about 10 minutes or before if I do not fall asleep right away. On straight cpap I had problems with ...

Re: Trying to set ResMed Autoset ??
Good Morning Again- I am still confused as to why I am not getting better results from my autopap settings. The last two nights have left me feeling drained and mentally foggy. I can't seem to remember the simpliest things!! My setting has remained at 8.4-11.2 and I have slept about the same number ...

Re: Trying to set ResMed Autoset ??
Good Morning!! Well, once again I am stumped as to why I am feeling better this morning with higher AHI and AI than the day before when my numbers were lower and I didn't wake up as much. Here are the last two days stats: Tuesday night: pressure(with autopap set at 8.6-11.0) 95% pressure was 9.6 lea...

Re: Trying to set ResMed Autoset ??
Moved lower pressure up to 8.6 last night, did not have trouble falling asleep but woke up around 3 a.m. and could not fall back to sleep. My stats were higher last night including my leak rate. My AHI was 2.1 and my AI was higher too but the HI was high at 1.9. So, I have no idea what the problem w...

Re: Trying to set ResMed Autoset ??
Not really sure as to why am am lately having trouble getting to sleep. I am not having any misgivings about trying new things with my cpap in fact I am happy to try anything in order to finally feel rested and "human" again. I am always a bit unsure if the changes I make will make my "gas" situatio...
