1 year ago I had maxillomandibular advancement done to treat my sleep apnea. I slept great the first few months but now am starting to snore according to my wife. I think my airway is pretty open--I suspect that I may have central apnea or maybe complex apnea. As far as I can tell adaptive servo-ven...

I don't want a disability check--I'd just like to be able to work from 10:30AM to 7:00PM instead of 2:30PM to 11:00PM. My doctor wrote me a note to give to my employer that stated that it would be better for my sleep if my shift was changed. What do I need to do to MAKE it happen? My employer likes ...

The 431 works for me but only seals all the time if I have it tight enough to cause minor marks. I'm looking forward to the 432 but my advice to everyone is not to totally chunk their old 431s--just because a mask is supposedly improved and even if it is improved for most people--that doesn't necess...

Fisher and Paykel 432?
I've heard that Fisher and Paykel has come out with a new Full Face Mask--the 432 which will replace the 431.
Does anybody know what the differences are between the two masks if any?

Look friends who already have Resmed products: If it works for you go ahead and keep it! I would nevwer be against any products that help anyone get a good night sleep. All I'm saying is that if you don't already have Resmed products WHENEVER you decide to buy another product--TRY ANYTHING else that...

If Resmed had any sense don't you think they would give a hoot what people think at CPAP forums--they'e the ones that buy 2d and third and fourth CPAP machines. Do you think the automobile dealers don't care about people buying 2d and third and fourth cars? After DME people hear from the CPAP talker...

The best way to get them to change their policies is to trash them on this and every sleep forum in existence--they might make sale #1--they won't be able to make sale #2. The only way to fight hard nosed power is with hard nosed consumer information to every possible customer at this and other slee...

Sounds to me like an ST machine might be a little bit of insurance--what if you have a Central Apnea Event and you don't start back breathing? Course it wouldn't be like a ventilator making you breathe but it would be a step in the right direction. I have heard that sometimes auto BiPAPs can make Ce...

My Cat Bit the Hose!
Last night was my first night with a Fisher and Paykel HC431 Mask and when I was getting ready for bed my tomcat Jaspar was biting on my CPAP hose. This morning when I woke up it sounded like the mask was noisy. I found small little bite marks in the hose and my pressure was at 15--which is max for ...

I got a Fisher and Paykel Full Face Mask today and it was very comfortable--tonight I'll sleep with it for the first time--if it doesn't work out over a few months I'll guess I'll try the Ultra Mirage next. What I wish there was was somewhere that gave the LEAKAGE rates for all masks given an Averag...
