Re: Bringing S9 on a tropical vacation
I took mine to Costa Rica this past fall and did turn on the humidifier. We had NO air conditioning, just fans and ceiling fans and it was hot and extremely humid, but I slept very comfortably. After the 1st night adjusted to no air conditioning quite well, and slept better than I have in years.

Re: Power Supply Aiomed Everest 2 or 3
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!! I haven't been on cpaptalk for several years, because I have everything under control, but last night my power was off and I pulled out my Everest machine and the battery was dead, so no help. That's why I bought it! I just today found out that the company went out...

Re: dirty filter cause headaches?
snoozie: when you say you feel out of it, do you mean spacey? I have days when I feel spacey and irritable and never associated it with the filter, on these days I can't think straight. Yes, I definitely feel spacey, with a weird type of headache and more tired than usual. Once the filter is change...

Re: dirty filter cause headaches?
Well, I only know that EVERY time my filter is dirty, I get a migraine and feel just out of it and not alert. However, I was first diagnosed as NEEDING CPAP because I was getting constant migraines, and once I started therapy they disappeared. If your filter is dirty, you are not getting maximum air...

Mask vs Pillows Comfortlite2
I haven't had to post here in a long time, but have a new question. (Old dogs CAN learn new tricks). On a recent 10 day trip, DH left my machine and mask in the garage instead of loading in the SUV, and I didn't realize it was missing till I got to the airport. I was lucky enough through Apria Healt...

Re: ResMed series 8 Escape II noisy
I am on week 2 of my Escape II and find it to be very quiet. Just curious though, why would the DME prescribe this machine if there is a newer version? Don't get me wrong, I am happy with it. All I requested was one that had CFlex and this is what they prescribed. As far as data, don't want to bothe...

Re: Reminder: Sleep Apnea Not Limited to Obese Patients
I have always been a normal weight and normal BMI, but have apnea and a snorer. My husband is the overweight one and does not snore, and everyone always thinks he is the one with apnea. I was told by the dentist (but I forget what it is called) that I have something misshapen with the roof of my mou...

DME question
This may be a dumb question but here goes. I recently had to switch DME's due to insurance change out of my control. My previous company now suddenly wants to be involved in my care (their new policy). They are going to contact me within the next few days. So...I have to tell them I no longer requir...

Re: Resmed Escape II Clinician Manual an questions?
I don't plan on using the card at all. I have been on cpap for enough years that I don't feel the necessity. I actually haven't used the card reader on my Remstar Pro 2 for several years either. I was just wanting a clinical manual for ease of setup so that I didn't have to keep pushing buttons to g...

I am wondering why the setting of 9.4 seems harder to breathe that the Remstar with a setting of 9.5. Thanks!

Resmed Escape II Clinician Manual an questions?
Hi, I used to post on this site a long time ago, but with everyone's help I felt comfortable enough to not have to ask any questions. Now I am back with new ones! I have been succesfully using the Remstar Pro 2 for the past several years with a pressure that I manually set myelf at 9.5. It has worke...

DeVilbiss Intellipap Question and DME Soundoff
I am looking at purchasing this machine as a backup, due to the reasonable price. Does anyone have experience with it? Reason being....Two days ago my RemstarPro2 went on the fritz. I noticed it beeping when I came home from work. Called the DME and he said it would be the next day before someone co...

Changing pressure temporarily on a borrowed Resmed S7
I have a dire problem that maybe someone can help with. First, let me say I have a RemstarPro2 that has went on the fritz with an error code. I have to send it in and the DME said it would be gone for a month. Next problem, I can't get a replacement until tomorrow and this happened last night. They ...
