Stretching Mirage Swift LT?
I have a Mirage Swift LT and the S pillow is a bit too small and the M pillow is much too large. Even more complicated, one of my nares is noticeably bigger than the other. Has anyone tried stretching the material the pillows are made with, to make one nare bigger? If so, how did you do it, how much...

Re: Perma-Stench: M-series Auto CPAP
So, DigiSage, is that big sponge-like foam piece revealed in any of Craig's pictures of the disassembled M Series? Is it surrounding what looks like the round "fan" on the right in picture 04.connections? (I'm not mechanically inclined). No, it doesn't actually show up in any of the photos, but I c...

Re: Perma-Stench: M-series Auto CPAP
I don't have the address for them, however one thing I've found in the past that generally gets a response from companies is to copy the Investor Relations department under separate cover, and let them know you will be publicizing this all over the place....making sure to let them know you are not ...

Re: Perma-Stench: M-series Auto CPAP
I read in this thread what appeared to be a negative comment about Fabreze but, I know that I've used the "allergen reducing" Fabreze on a "skunked dog" and been able to comfortably sleep in the same room within 15 minutes. Boy, skunk, thats a bad smell. It "ate" the skunk smell. Didn't even have t...

Re: Perma-Stench: M-series Auto CPAP
It's hard to say exactly what the odor smells like. It definitely has some traces of PurSleep I smell other things there too. When my machine was brand new it had no odor at all (though the hose stunk to high heaven of the typical "new hose smell", but that goes away on its own after a while). It ac...

Perma-Stench: M-series Auto CPAP
Some of us M-series Auto CPAP users have noticed that our machines have acquired an odor that will not go away, no matter what we try. Mine got so bad to the point that I had to stop using it. I looked into warranty & repair options and learned that I had none. Fortunately I also have a new Intellip...

Re: Removing odor from inside CPAP machine
The whole system had a plasticky smell when it was new, which is normal, right?. Anyway, that has long since gone away. The unpleasant smell I have now is like a stale version of my favorite Pursleep flavor. I can disconnect literally everything from my machine - hose, mask, humidifier housing, and ...

Re: Anyone tried the CMS-P yet? Or bought from Contec?
The CMS-P sensor must have a USB interface chip, but otherwise I suspect it is the same as the finger sensors for the other units - which look the same. However, I think all of them have an embedded microcontroller which controls the interleaving of the LED's, compares the attenuation of the of the...

Re: Removing odor from inside CPAP machine
I always replace the white filters and wash the black ones. It's been about a year on the black ones so I ordered new ones to replace it, however I apparently ordered the wrong ones because they're gigantic. Anyway, none of my filters have this smell. Neither does my hose, mask or any other part of ...

Removing odor from inside CPAP machine
Hey, I've got a M-series A-flex with humidifier with an odor problem. For the longest time I thought it was my mask/hose and kept cleaning it but it never went totally away. Just now I tried smelling the air coming right out of the machine, without the hose connected, and it's definitely coming from...

I also feel I should address all the off-topic posts on this thread - specifically the ones about the pros & cons of taping. You might not have noticed that I did not ask any questions related to that. I simply asked where to purchase tape. I have already spent many, many hours reading probably 30 ...

Re: Where to buy "gumby tape"?
Well I tried taping last night and I'm very happy with the results. Absolutely no pain or discomfort of any kind. I had to wear the papcap very tight, near to the point of pain for it to seal properly (this is because I have a considerable overbite- the papcap otherwise is pretty good). No vomiting ...
