Unfortunately, I have tinnitus as well.
So I ended up getting into the clinician menu and changed some stuff around, then unplugged everything and reattached back again. The chirping noise stopped afterwards.

Z1 cricket noise
Long time no visit. Comforting to see so many familiar names still here. So I’ve been using a z1 as my travel/spare machine for a few years. It started making a cricket-like chirping noise recently. Does anyone have this experience? Is my blower/motor dying? Thanks in advance for any help or insight.

Re: A general question from a new CPAP user
My changes were pretty subtle. There were the lifetime of non-quality sleep to catch up on after all. I started having vivid dreams around month two or so. It's not entirely nightly, but it happened way more than "normal" for me. Around month 3-6? I started having some mornings where I woke up feeli...

Re: Time to shop for my CPAP!
Without a prescription, your only option in the US would be the secondary market or third party. I have used two machines that I got used. I'm happy with both of them and they are still running strong after many years. You can always ask the number of hours that's been used and more importantly, whe...

Re: insurance denied
Thanks. They must have changed their qualification somewhat recently. I do have excessive daytime sleepiness ... even now, just much better with cpap than without. Winnie I believe it was without. Yes, it was considered moderate at the time. I was just sleeping anytime and everywhere. Feeling much b...

I believe it was without. Yes, it was considered moderate at the time. I was just sleeping anytime and everywhere. Feeling much better with cpap. Just a little frustrated with the denial. At least I've still got a small stockpile of supplies for the time being and I bought my own machine instead of ...

insurance denied
I just got a letter from my insurance that my insurance company has denied further supplies for my cpap saying that my condition is too mild. According to their new rules, AHI and RDI needs to meet or exceed 15 events/hour in order to qualify. My AHI's only 3.3 and RDI 9.6. Why do I have insurance a...

Re: apnea worsened after cpap and surgical interventions
Sorry to hear about your troubles with both cpap and surgery. What kind of mask were you using with your cpap machine? I found regular full or half masks very drying as well (even with the heated humidifier). My nasal pillows work very well for me and the forced air kind of "blows" my nasal passages...

They sell the Fitbit at 24 Hour Fitness, if anyone's interested. $99 as well.

Re: Do you have problems with your Swift LT ?
I love my LT. I just leave my hose loose and under the covers with me. The cheek pads just kind of float on my face. It's not perfect though, the back strap tends to ride up on my head when I sleep. I used to have to adjust it in the middle of the night sometimes, but figured out that if I leave a c...

Re: North Bay Area, California?
Can you tell me a bit more about pediatric apnea? My 3 month old nephew snores ... pretty loudly. Practically every member in my family most likely has SA, they're in denial. My brother (nephew's dad) is a severe case, though stubborn about not wanted to be tied to his cpap machine. As far as I know...

Re: Newbie and a side sleeper
I am a switch sleeper and thought I was a mouth breather. I sleep most comfortably on my side, but also sleep well on my back sometimes. I figured out that I was only a mouth breather because I'm not getting enough air through my nose only when I'm asleep. They let me use a Responics Mirage II durin...

Re: Flonase or Nasonex?
I've used Flonase and Nasonex. Both worked, but not as well as Nasocort for me. I only used the nasal spray when I'm REALLY congested. Most days, I take an over-the-counter Claritin or Zertec. When it gets worst, I do a nasal rinse. I use nasal pillows for my cpap and that works VERY well. Good luck...

Re: so depressed.. do i really have to wear this??
It helps to be a geek. Like Panhandler, I also did a bunch of research on my own. I actually learned about cpap therapy after being told by my doctor that losing weight should take care of my snoring problems. I am quite sure my snoring has nothing to do with my weight. I am a snorer my whole life ....
