Re: Can't believe this

Just one question, Did the BiPAP (ST) exist in 1996? Sounds fishy to me. Jim Yes, it did. Well, let me qualify that. It did IF what I found is the same machine. Please understand -- what I know about bipap could be put in a thimble with some room left over. All I did was run some Google searches, a...

Re: Happy Birthday 6PtStar!!!!!!

Hear, hear!! I know this will be an especially cherished birthday for you and your family.... which includes US!! Happy birthday, Jerry. By the way, I caught up on your news in the last couple of pages of the original "6PtStar in Hospital..." thread. If you do decide you need a ffm, I have a size SM...

Re: Call For Feedback: Puresleep.com Dental Device

This has turned into a very interesting topic and, I think, an important one. Thanks, Johnny! It looks like it might work as a "dental tray" for teeth bleaching products. You're right, it does, Ractar. It looks a lot like my ortho retainer, too. This makes it different from either, though: The princ...

Re: Respironics customer service is USELESS

BJ, it's fine to trade SA-related items on the forum. Since there are a LOT of people who won't read through all four pages of this thread, many will miss your offer. It would work much better for you to start a new thread offering the trade. To do that, just select the orange "Post A New Topic" nea...

Re: Respironics customer service is USELESS

Another option would be to post a "have a Large Respironics ComfortFull mask... want to trade for Medium" thread here in the forum and just ask any takers to send you a PM so you can trade names and addresses. I've never traded masks here, but I've traded nasal pillows a couple of times, and it work...

Re: Nervy: retitration tonight! Am I missing sleep study pages?

Basically, at that point you have failed CPAP. Now they can offer you a Autopap and insurance will pay for it since you failed CPAP. This is a great plan, Snoredog. I've had my machine since 8/11, but it's still in the insurance-required rent-to-own phase. Would that override/delay the 30-day requi...

Nervy: retitration tonight! Am I missing sleep study pages?

First issue: As some of you might remember, my sleep doc's only been willing to Rx cpap; my insurance company's only willing to pay for apap if cpap fails; I don't have the $$ to get one on my own; they got zero on-my-back numbers during my titration study; and my sleep doc scheduled me for a retit...

I used to be a user a long while ago, but since then, when I log in, it's coming up as "guest". Where do I go to re-do my profile? Hi, Guest. Since it's been a long while since you stopped by, I imagine things look really strange to you. The entire format was upgraded in mid-August. It takes a litt...

Re: Pillow idea for those who sew

You're right, Allinknots, buckwheat hull pillows are great. For those who don't sew, don't want to or don't have the time, let me throw another option into the mix. I use a regular pillow with a buckwheat hull-filled pillow on top of it, which I use as a neck pillow. Actually, it's advertised as a l...

Hi, Fairysquisher! Welcome to the forum. I think that was about my first question when I joined. Here's that thread, with a number of good thoughts: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=33812&p=287491#p287491

Hi, Allinknots! This is NOT at all OT. You're talking about the sleep quality of two very important people!! It's vitally important. As is your relationship with each other, as well as with your families and friends. None of your concerns are silly, and none should be ignored. That said.... I'd neve...

Re: wanting to switch to nasal pillows

I have the Fisher & Paykel Opus 360 and love it. It's light, it's comfy, there's nothing on my forehead or in front of my eyes, the pillows seal well, and I always have a great leak rate. Some who use nasal pillows end up with sore nares, but that has NOT been my experience. I credit the cpaptalk co...
