Re: SleepyHead Series 60 Patch Avail
Regarding the missing dll's... and making the new version work. This may have been said before, but maybe I can put it into a bit simpler terms. This is a windows 7 answer but the theory still applies. 1) Get the download of SleepyHead 9.2-1 and download it to your system. It will be a zip file form...

Re: Help for a newby friend. Kind of urgent!
Final update...... Sorry, it's been a rough week. So my friend went to the sleep lab. The sleep tech was aghast that he'd been given a FF mask with his really thick beard. She fitted him with a nasal mask, and sent him home with it(free) with instructions to not tell anyone where he got it. He has b...

pir66, The things you just stated are exactly the reason that socialized medicine is doomed to failure. It is not human nature to under consume anything that does not cost. Look at the way people eat at an "all you can eat" buffet. "Well, I paid to eat all I can, and I'm gonna eat until I get sick b...

Re: How long do you use your mask before replacing the seal ?
I learned from Resmed that the Mirage Quattro FFM seal (cushion & clip) was engineered for a life expectancy of 3 - 6 weeks, the entire mask for 4 - 6 months ... I'm lucky to get four weeks from a new seal (cushion & clip) but my last mask made it for 7 months ... ... That's really interesting abou...

A brief update..... First off I got some numbers a little off when I first posted. LL is 120 l/min and apparently that is the limit of the machine. He was in LL for 266 min, not leaking at 266 l/min. Either way, he wasn't getting any theraputic benefit. Secold his mask is a F&P Flexifit 431. I took ...

Re: How long does it take to adjust?
It must be quiet or I toss and turn all night and do not sleep. Have you tried some sort or white noise? I sleep with an air filter purifying the air. I also have my machine in my headboard in a drawer that is cracked open enough to let in plenty of air. I have severe allergies, breathe through my ...

Help for a newby friend. Kind of urgent!
I have a really close friend who just started on the hose Wednesday night. His AHI for his PSG was over 80. He took his machine back yesterday because it quit working in the middle of the night. After seeing the results below, I'm thinking that it shut off because it didn't think he was on it. Last ...

Hi fellow hose heads! I've been reading a lot but not posting. Things are pretty okay, at least I think so. I've been on the hose for 143 days. I'm 99.3% compliant. I missed one day because I was coughing so hard. I kept raising my hands up to cover my mouth and banging my hand on the mask. For the ...

Re: Sore back with CPAP?
Okay, my back problems have been resolved. To restate briefly what I was experiencing. When I slept on my back I woke up with a stabbing pain right over my spine. When I was on either side, I ended up with a stabbing pain on my shoulder blade. First off, my chiropractor re-located 4 ribs(2 on each s...

Re: Gross, but important!
Has she ever cleaned her filters, too? I think that people are more likely apt to introduce "unwelcomed growth" in their XPAP systems by using tap water in their humidifiers, washing hoses with tap water, hanging the hoses and masks in the bathroom......rather than using distilled water in their hu...

Gross, but important!
My Sister-in-law has been on CPAP since July. She has recently been hospitalized with an unknown lung ailment. They have been running all sorts of tests on her. She has recently admitted that she has never cleaned her CPAP hose, other than running water through it, and the best guess now is that she...
