Re: babette trial mask

Sounds good and interesting.
I'm sitting here rubbing my burning eyes due to my current (Acclaim 2) mask leaking air into my eyes. I was thinking of trying either a nasal prong mask or nasal cushion but maybe my thinking is wrong? I'm ready to make some changes to overcome this problem.

Re: Sore back with CPAP?

I pity all of you who have posted in regards to back and rib cage pain! I have been there and experienced the very same things. I have been getting muscle massage therapy on a monthly basis for several years due to spondylolishesis back problem. I told my therapist about my CPAP back and chest pain ...

Re: Intro from newbie in Canada

Hello and welcome on board. I'm in Ontario Canada and I bought my CPAP equipment at Shoppers Home Healthcare. The government paid $780.00 and I paid $260.00 for the equipment plus $200.00 for the R.R.T. services. (Total of $460.00) The machine I have is a Respironics Remstar Plus. I was told that th...

Re: Padacheek PAC Nosebridge

Sorry Jason I'm not sure on the definition for FFM but I'm guessing its a mask.
The manufacturer has several different models of masks and I had to tell them that I have the Aclaim2 mask.
But sorry if that wasn't the answer to your question!

Re: Padacheek PAC Nosebridge

No I don't work for the company. I'm just an end user hose head. The piece of fabric that protects my nose bridge is actually thinner than the moleskin tape that my DME told me to use. So I find that it seals better since I'm using the PAC Nosebridge. But that's just my experience now. There might b...

Padacheek PAC Nosebridge

Recently I bought the PAC Nosebridge from http://www.padacheek.com. I was using moleskin to keep my sensitive skin on the bridge of my nose from cracking and bleeding. This item eliminates the hassle of applying the moleskin as well as the discomfort of taking it off in the morning. I would recommen...

Re: Remstar Plus M series fine adjustment

I might have a little more time to write up a post today. I really don't think that the "fine adjustment" would have any affect (as a benefit) on what you described in your post in that thread. Den Probably not from your point of view Den. But from my point of view it has. And I have proved it with ...

Re: Remstar Plus M series fine adjustment

The post at this link might explain a bit more what I'm up against with my CPAP experience. And the fine pressure adjustment.

Remstar Plus M series fine adjustment

Can anybody explain to me how the "fine pressure adjustment" affects the main CPAP pressure on the Remstar plus M series machine? It seems to me that the main pressure can be adjusted in ½ pressure increments. Or in other words it jumps from 7.0 to 7.5 to 8.0. The fine pressure adjustment can be adj...

chest pain & back-ache

Hello everybody. I have been reading these forums since Sept. 2008 when I first started with my cpap therapy. I thank everyone for the useful information that I obtained from these forums. When I started out with therapy my pressure was a 7.0 and I was having a continuous back-ache but the thought n...
