Re: Mirage Liberty leak prevention help
I've been using the Mirage Liberty for two months and have had the same problem with the pillows popping out...all night long. I love how comfortable the mask is and hate how the pillows won't consistently seal. I've been on a quest to make it successful for me and I'm hopeful that I've got my solut...

Re: Do nasal sprays damage nasal pillows?
[quote="Janknitz"]It's a good idea to use nasal sprays a few hours before bedtime so there is no residue on the pillows.quote]
Good idea. Thanks!

Re: liner prevents Liberty mask from sliding down?
I never tried a liner with the liberty but I have with other masks. Right now the ones I am using are made from old flannel pj pants - I made a pattern and cut about 20 one night - use them until they are too nasty looking then trash them - the price is right. I have used t shirts too - started wit...

Re: Do nasal sprays damage nasal pillows?
If it's bad for the septum, it's gotta be bad for silicone, right? Hope, did you get this from my post? I'm personally going to look into this whole "bad for the septum" thing further, as no one ever told me that. I had my kids on nasal steroids at various times, and have considered putting one of ...

liner prevents Liberty mask pillows from popping out?
Last week someone told me about using a liner underneath the chin area of my mask to help prevent skin chapping caused by being in contact with the silicone. I contacted REMzzz and they said they did not yet make a liner for the Mirage Liberty ff mask. After reading other posts here, I decided to tr...

Do nasal sprays damage nasal pillows?
I'm wondering if using Flonase, Vicks, Nasacort, etc. might cause the nasal pillows to break down more quickly. If it's bad for the septum, it's gotta be bad for silicone, right? I've had terrible luck with my Liberty nasal pillows, but I love the mask and I need to breathe for cpap therapy to work....

Re: hybrid liberty mask with resmed s9 apap
I was born and raised in Florida and you may find that your allergies are much worse there. I use a room humidifier in the bedroom. I run it for a couple hours before bedtime so the room is comfortable for breathing. Then I read or watch t.v. in bed before hooking up to cpap while the humid air in t...

Re: still having problems after 2 years
I've been on CPAP for over 2 years now, and I still can't say it's a success. I'm diligent about using it every night anyway. Here are my specific problems: 4. I wake with headache and jaw pain from grinding my teeth (I know it isn't the CPAP causing this, it's been going on far longer than that, b...

Re: for all people who are still tired despite using CPAP, poll
I think I stop breathing because I'm a nose-breather and my nose is stopped up. Hope1952, I am the least qualified person here to try to give advice, but my sinuses have been congested for years. I have pretty bad nasal allergies on top of a deviated septum and very small nasal airways. (On friday ...

Re: questions about REMstar BiPAP Auto with Bi-Flex
I would also check the blower hours on your machine cuz if they tried to cheat you out of a cheap power cord, they may well have given you a used machine as new. Thanks for the advice, Dreamstalker. I'm trying to give them the benefit of the doubt, but this is the second time I've gotten no manual ...

Re: questions about REMstar BiPAP Auto with Bi-Flex
I just picked up a new REMstar BiPAP Auto with Bi-Flex machine from my DME to replace the borrowed one I've been using. My insurance company should pay for 100% or I would have gladly bought it through cpap.com to save the irritation. Two questions: Can anyone who bought a new machine tell me what ...

Re: Ladies and moisturizers
Thank you all for the suggestions on what works for you. I've never tried grapes or grapeseed oil so I'll have to try those. My chin is very chapped. I sometimes use Vitamin E oil and it helps, also. It would be great to be able to use a moisturizer under the mask with a liner! I found a helpful lin...

Re: Ladies and moisturizers
You may want to use a liner between you and the mask - that way you can use a moisturizer. Great idea! Do you have a suggestion for a liner? I think the official ones are called Remzzzz's For my quatro I just made something out of some well washed fine cotton knit fabric (old pair of panties) Just ...
