Has anyone had to undergo an 'in office' dental procedure under sedation with OSA?
Your mouth would be open, so that negates any air pressure from a nasal mask...so that's not going to help.

I would hate to have any type of choking/gasping episodes while there are sharp objects in my mouth.

Do get the FMLA paperwork filled out and submitted. Protect yourself. I had to do that myself, and it allowed me to take the time for tests,etc as well as my 'bad days'.
And USE the machine--you will have a hard time arguing your case, if you haven't been trying to help yourself.

I am finding that my problems with sleep apnea, and a couple of other things are basically held against me. It's as if I've wasted someone's time while I was busy being unwell....bc...

I give you much credit for fighting through....many others would have given up.

I do sympathize with the diagnosis anger and the 'mourning' of things gone....I really do.

I've had a couple of breakouts on my chin too, but I wear a FFM. I wipe it daily with non-alcohol, unscented baby wipes.

You can try dabbing a little cornstarch on your upper lip and see if that helps keep it dry. Same for the area that your headgear is bothering.

Any changes lately? New medication? Dose change? Taking any new OTC supplements?

It could be something simple and subtle.... I like to blame OSA too....since it's created havoc in most every other aspect in my life!
