Has anyone had to undergo an 'in office' dental procedure under sedation with OSA?
Your mouth would be open, so that negates any air pressure from a nasal mask...so that's not going to help.
I would hate to have any type of choking/gasping episodes while there are sharp objects in my mouth.

I cleaned my humidifier tub.....
Not sure if this has been posted before, but the standard ResMed Hi5 tubs that are "one piece"' can be taken apart, cleaned and put back together. Found this and it works! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=scg8Nc9LkRo The amount of mold and sludge in there was astounding, regardless of cleaning with d...

Re: Bragging rights thread. Accomplishments.
(I mentioned this in another thread, but thought more appropriate here) Not a huge deal really, but I'm not a walker or a runner...and before the self made changes in my therapy, I wouldn't have even considered such a thing. Hell, I wasn't walking to the mailbox... I participated in a 5K (fundraiser...

I've had the humidifier error. It shut the machine off in the middle of the night bc of it. I had to unplug it from the surge protector and plug back in to get the machine to work again. Never had it respond to sunlight... However, if you think it may be getting warm from the sunlight, try a piece o...

A Thank You...
I have learned so much from this board. So much that you just don't learn from the people in control of your care (!), but so much one NEEDS to know! It gave me the knowledge and confidence IN that knowledge to take control of my own care, CHANGE it and improve my therapy. My LIFE. And even better.....

17....and a few of those are primary bc no adult teeth came to push them out. My dental life has been hell and doesn't have much hope of improving.

Do get the FMLA paperwork filled out and submitted. Protect yourself. I had to do that myself, and it allowed me to take the time for tests, etc as well as my 'bad days'.
And USE the machine--you will have a hard time arguing your case, if you haven't been trying to help yourself.

I wish I could brag. Apparently I haven't done enough. I should have gotten better faster. I should have snapped back into life easier. Pardon my cynicism....on top if working thru this, I've basically been told that my illness has been a debbie downer...oh so sorry, bc it's been a real adventure fo...

Re: Apnea and heart break
I haven't been on the board as much lately.....I, apparently, am dealing with similar issues. I'm a bit shell shocked. I am finding that my problems with sleep apnea, and a couple of other things are basically held against me. It's as if I've wasted someone's time while I was busy being unwell....bc...

Good luck with the liner!
I've had a couple of breakouts on my chin too, but I wear a FFM. I wipe it daily with non-alcohol, unscented baby wipes.
You can try dabbing a little cornstarch on your upper lip and see if that helps keep it dry. Same for the area that your headgear is bothering.

Any changes lately? New medication? Dose change? Taking any new OTC supplements?
Illness or injury?
It could be something simple and subtle.... I like to blame OSA too....since it's created havoc in most every other aspect in my life!
