Re: taping and nasal masks, need opinions

Archangel: I don't know of the hybrid or oral masks. I will check into them, and on the Quattro Fx , it would always leak when i would fall asleep and the mouth would drop open. I haven't found a chin strap to hold, and am tired of all the straps when trying one. They say to wear it loose, and I hav...

taping and nasal masks, need opinions

Hi all; I have been trying to find a mask that I can live with since June 2010, and still have not found a good fit. I ended up with the Quattro Fx, but after fighting it for several months, I have gone back to the opus 360. I am going to Dr's. to try different masks shortly, so can anyone recommend...

ResScan Data Card Reader

Hi folks:
I have gotten my Resscan data card reader for my S8 Resmed Vpap. It came with software version 3.10
Should I use it, or get a later version to use with it?
Thanks; Don

Re: side sleeping with reduced CA and hyponeas

Bill; I too could only sleep on my back for the last 3 years, and only in the last 4 nights have I been able to sleep on my left side, and my ahi #'s have gone from from mid 50's and mid 40's to under 10, and apneas from the 20's to under 2.
I still feel like crap,, but it's a good start.

Card Reader

My DME called yesterday asking about which mask to order, as I have yet to find anything that will fit right in over a year. Luckily I have a good DME. I asked him about software and a card reader for my resperonics s8 vpap st. He said he has a card reader @ $99, and can cut me a disc of the softwar...

Re: Greetings All from a tired Newby

Yes, I am not afraid to adjust a mask. It just doesn't seem right that for 2 minutes in the office the masks don't leak at my pressure, but get it home, lay down and relax and the noises begin. I sleep on my back 99% of the time due to an injury. And I have learned to do it during day, and try it ou...

Re: Greetings All from a tired Newby

Hi all: I have tried a chin strap, even taped my mouth shut when I was using the opus nasal pillow, but Dr. increased pressure to 18/14/br12 and I could not use anymore. I have been continually trying different facemasks since June of 2010. Dr. fits mask in office, and when I get home it leaks. I am...

Greetings All from a tired Newby

I am a 61 year old man, and I had my first sleep test on 5/12/2010. My overall AHI then was 75.6. Having one again on 6/23/2011, and my overall AHI is now 35.4. So I am slowly getting there. About 3 months ago I almost hit a car headon while driving with my wife in the car with me, and that was enou...
