Resmed S9 Autoset Questions
Hello all, I just got my new S9 Autoset last night .... finally upgraded from the S7 Lightweight from 10+ years ago. I have a few questions: 1. The memory card it came with seems a bit larger than the standard SD card .... how do you read the data?? Is there a recommended software? 2. How do i check...

Re: Aetna Insurance
Lincare was the closest local in-network DME. Guess I'll start contacting others. What is the best way to find out if the S9 is covered - seems like the simple way - asking - hasn't worked well the first time around. Any suggestions?

Re: Aetna Insurance
Just got off the phone w/ Aetna and they are "researching" the situation. The explanation they gave is that they do cover E0601 coded machines but that their contract w/ DME's can differ as to which specific machine - does this make sense? They also said that based on their contracted rental/lease p...

Re: Aetna Insurance
That sounds familiar. Before telling me the S9 was not covered by insurance the DME said it would be $255 up front with $48/month for 9 months (total $687). If yours is a "lease agreement" as well - in your experience what are the on going maintenance fees etc with your arrangement? Do you find this...

Re: Aetna Insurance
I do recall my insurance person asking for a code and I didn't have this. Is E0601 the correct code for S9 Autoset? Maybe I'll call back with this added info.

Re: Aetna Insurance
I do not have an IntelliPap - my current machine is a 10 year old S7 Lightweight that i would like to upgrade. My insurance is through my wife's plan at Lockheed Martin. Aetna has said they treat CPAP machines as a lease agreement so you never actually own the machine. I would have to pay my deducti...

Re: Aetna Insurance
The prescription is approved for APAP (range 5-20). Lincare is the only "local" in-service provider ..... anyone have recommendations in the Washington DC Metro area (i'm in Reston, VA).
Thanks.
Thanks.

Resmed S9 Autoset vs DeVilbiss Intellipap
Hello all, I did some research and was pretty set on the Resmed S9 Autoset to find out my insurance only covers Intellipap. Aetna will consider making an exception with a Predetermination Benefits Request from my doctor. The request needs to state why S9 Autoset would be a better solution - the more...

Re: Upgrading to a new machine - HELP
Thanks for all the input. Insurance is going to cover most of the cost so S9 Autoset would not be out of the question money wise .... I mainly want to get what will work best.
Thanks again!
Thanks again!

Upgrading to a new machine - HELP
Hello all, It's long overdue in an upgrade (currently using Resmed S7 Lightweight ... ). My last (and only) sleep study was done 9 years ago and i was diagnosed w/ mild to moderate OSA (AHI 21/hr sleep). Since then I've put on 25lbs (200 to 225). Questions: 1. How often are you supposed to have a sl...
