Does Apria Enforce A 5 Year Waiting Period To Get New CPAP?
Hey all. It's been a while since i've posted but still a faithful CPAP user. I got my ResMed S9 Autoset machine roughly 4 years ago. Its still working with no issues, however I did plan on upgrading it to a newer model with more features. Right now i've met my health insurance's deductible ($500 ann...

Re: Does anyone have a insurance fee schedule for sleep studies?
Just an update for you guys. I sent a certified letter to the clinic that did my sleep study and they are willing to accept a $200 settlement instead of the remaining balance of $1027 that i still owed. i'm getting them to email me confirmation letter stating as such so i'm not held liable for any f...

Re: Question About Apria and the 30 day mask warranties
I am also in my 30 day window with Apria. I started with the Quattro™ FX Full Face CPAP Mask but I kept getting leaks so have switched to Swift™ FX Nasal Pillow. They told me that they did not want the Quattro mask back and to use it as a spare. This was the Apria branch in Gilbert, AZ. So far no c...

Re: Does anyone have a insurance fee schedule for sleep studies?
Perhaps a better way is to appeal to try and get your prior insurer to pay for the test. If it was a needed test, and you met the annual deductible, why would they not pay a valid claim? Could be an improper denial. Contact your state insurance department for help with that. i wouldn't even know ho...

Does anyone have a insurance fee schedule for sleep studies?
I'm trying to see if i can negotiate paying off my sleep study done last year. The cost was around $2000 out of pocket as my crappy insurance at the time didn't want to pay for it. Since then i've gotten it down to $1100 but not comfortably. It hurts my wallet a bit having to pay it down and its alr...

Re: Question About Apria and the 30 day mask warranties
The Liberty wasn't working out well so I called my local branch to get the ResMed Softgel to try out. She's also going to send a chinstrap. I tried the Quattro again last night and it was leaks galore.

Re: Question About Apria and the 30 day mask warranties
WOW that was quick. The Apria rep had to order the new mask and said it would arrive in 3 business days but i just got it today and i called her yesterday. It shipped from Georgia so i guess that's why i got it so fast. Last night i tried my Activa LT mask on the new machine and got a .71 AHI and ne...

Re: Issues with Mirage Liberty
I'm bumping this thread because I've seen some people asking about the Mirage Liberty recently. And I want to add what's worked for me! Two things have made this mask my current default. 1.) Pad-a-cheek liner. I have four that I rotate to accommodate washing. Not feeling the silicone on my skin is ...

Re: Question About Apria and the 30 day mask warranties
Awesome. Yeah I think they are terrific. No hassal at all so far. I count myself lucky considering all I've heard from other's experiences. Can't wait to try the new mask soon.LSAT wrote:Sounds like you have found one of the few good Apria locations. Many DMEs do this...they can get reimbursed from the mfg.

Question About Apria and the 30 day mask warranties
I called my local Apria rep a few minutes ago requesting a new mask to try out (it will be my 3rd) and i asked her if i have to return the other 2 she gave me last week and she said no and that i wouldn't be charged extra for them. There mine to keep. Does that sound right? I assumed that if you get...

Re: I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed now that i have insurance
Be very, very careful with the name. What you want is the ResMed S9 Auto Set ! ... It is very tricky. Don't fall for the ResMed S9 Escape Auto - it does not record the efficacy data on a card that can be used with the software. I can't tell you how grateful I am to have found this thread on the day...

Re: I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed now that i have insurance
A wonderful update: I got the machine today!!! yay. Yes i double-checked to see if it was the S9 Autoset which it was and not the Escape Auto. They gave me a full face mask also (The lady will order a gel full face mask also cause the one she fitted me with was a bit leaky but not too much for conce...

Re: I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed now that i have insurance
I got a call from Apria today. They told me my Insurance agreed to cover the machine and supplies. My local branch has the machine in stock but not the Climateline tubing so they ordered it last Friday. Once they get it they will call to have me come in and get it along with a new mask fitting. My t...

Re: I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed now that i have insurance
Just got out from my appointment. My DR wrote a prescription for the ResMed S9 AutoSet with the H5I And Climateline tubing. He also wrote the DAW as well so I should be good with apria. They will fax it over and gave me a copy.
