Re: I need a way to get higher exhaled pressured relief (EPR)
Before you know it, you, too, will be waking up wondering: "Is this thing ON?" Unfortunately, in 5 years, I never got to that point with my CPAP machines. Always felt foreign and restrictive before the BiPAP machine. May I ask inhale and exhale pressure settings you had before and after making the ...

Re: I need a way to get higher exhaled pressured relief (EPR)
I've been fighting my CPAP machines (and my DME) for 5 years with this same issue and finally resolved it by purchasing a ResMed AirCurve 10 VAuto - been using it for about 2 weeks and not going back! I had a F&P Auto machine to start (in 2012) which I thought may have been the issue (everyone sugge...

Re: Eating before bed and ahi
Just recently I have run into a couple worrying medical issues (higher blood suger, higher blood pressure) and my Dr. was of little help. I've been trying to reduce carbs, do some intermittent fasting etc. which seemed to even make it worse. Some research on the internet re: high fasting blood sugar...

Re: New AirCurve 10 VAUTO
Any initial thoughts on setting it up, configuration in comparison to my current machine (ResMed S9 Elite) Currently my S9 pressure is set from 7-14. I have the pressure relief set to 3 which helps with exhalation. Do you mean you use the ramp starting at 7 and it goes up to 14 over period of time?...

Re: New AirCurve 10 VAUTO
Getting a new machine (I have a new one allowed each 5 years) Allowed ? Does that mean you expect your insurance to pay for the new machine? Already done/covered. I'm not under the US system as you have described. Currently my S9 pressure is set from 7-14. I have the pressure relief set to 3 which ...

New AirCurve 10 VAUTO
Hey all, Getting a new machine (I have a new one allowed each 5 years) and chose an AirCurve 10 VAUTO instead of a another AirSense 10 Elite (for example). This is "self" managed, not prescribed as my local DME are very abrasive when you don't purchase through them, and prices are typically 2x for t...

Re: Beyond Swift LT ...
Not sure if you are interested in a long-time Swift-FX user's thoughts, but after about 6 years on the Swift FX (and trying numerous other nasal pillow masks during that time), I recently tried the Brevida Nasal Pillow CPAP Mask. I think I saw someone else here post about it. I am now a convert (tho...

Re: safe way to use afrin???
I have had sinus issues for MANY years, somewhat allergy related, but it seems they've always been clogged. Some seasons worse that others. Apparently I'm allergic or sensitive to air. Have had turbinate surgery etc. Nothing has worked well so far and over the years been on numerous medications and ...

Travel Machine
Hey all, Does anyone have a travel (small/portable) machine they are happy with and would recommend? I have no special requirements in terms of higher pressures etc. I don't care if I can pull data off of it. I currently have an S9 for home and would prefer to use the same type of mask (Swift FX) if...

New Machine Advice
Hi all, My health care plan at work has renewed my CPAP allowance so I figure I should probably look at a new machine one of these days. Not that my current one is not working (far as I know), but to avoid a breakdown of the old one etc... Currently using a Resmed S9 with humidifier, so wondering wh...

ResMed Airfit P10 Vent - Performance over Time
Hey all, Anyone out there notice their Airfit P10 vents not allowing enough airflow. Last while I was starting to get a suffocating feeling and I have finally ordered a new mask - the air leaving the vents on the new mask is much higher volume than the old one and I feel much more refreshed with it....

"Super" Cleaning Icon Auto Tank
Hey all, While I currently use a Resmed S9, I kept my original Icon Auto for use as a travel machine and backup in case the S9 has issues. One thing though, is the Icon humidifier tank (I actually have two of them) has a bit of a musty odor I can't seem to get rid of. Been through the dishwasher a c...

Anyone (in Canada) know where to buy them at the cheapest cost? I see them for around $30 a pillow numerous places.

AirFit P10 Medium Pillows (Trade for Large) - Canada
I'm in the Edmonton, AB area.
I have two medium pillows still in factory sealed package (and one additional pillow used a few times) I would love to trade for large pillows. I ordered extra mediums on the assumption moving from a Swift FX they would be similar....nope!
PM if interested....

Re: ICON auto CPAP machine
I used an Icon Auto for a couple years, but have replaced it with an S9. Things I liked about the Icon: 1) Size (vertical vs. horizonal layout - less table space) 2) Clock/Alarm Things i did not like: 1) Icon does not have exhale relief 2) Constant Heating - used a LOT of water compared to my S9 - d...
