Re: new user-couldn't fall asleep
I'm also a new user even though I've had my machine for the past 2 years. When I first got it, I just couldn't get used to the hose, the feeling of the mask forcing air into me, or I would even roll over and the hose would wrap around my neck, or pull the whole unit off the end table. So I stopped u...

Its was all about the pressure
For the first time ever, I slept with my CPAP on for 7 and a half hours! Went into the doc yesterday and told them the problems I was having, gaging as soon as the machine started, waking up fighting for air(Because of too much), waking up multiple times and eventually just giving up. So he found th...

CPAP and Oxygen Question
I've been using the CPAP mashine for a straight week now, and even though that max time I've stayed asleep with it on is 4 hours, I've had dramatic improvements overall. However, according to my OXIMETER readings, my SPO2 is still dropping several times a night to 70. Should I be concerned with this...

Re: How long does people stay on CPAP?
Be sure your doctor, especially the anesthesiologist, surgeon, and the primary physician in charge know about your apnea and CPAP. When you're in the hospital, there is one and only one "Primary physician," who is GOD and the only one whose opinion and orders count. Several years ago, long before I...

Re: Pulse Oximeter Readings
I'm not sure if you put the grey around the low data points to make it easier to view, but doing so also tells SPO2 to ignore that data. -Bill Didn't know that! Thanks Bill, I was just highlighting. This was just a little confirmation for me and a chance to play with a new gadget, I took about a 3 ...

*Bump*
Finally made it past the 3 hour mark on sleeping, but woke up when I shifted sides and got flooded out!

Pulse Oximeter Readings
Got the Oxygen meter this afternoon and of course, in good scientific fashion (that's what I told the wife anyway) I took a nap with it on, without the CPAP to see what the results would be. http://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h290/Joshua1970/SPO2Meter.jpg The Green line is O2, the Blue is heart rate....

Re: Oxygen Level Monitor
I still find it incredible that all those "issues" I was having have pretty much disappeared over the last 3 days of using the CPAP. Yes, but that will make it much easier to adjust to now! Which oximeter did you get? I picked up this one: http://www.cpap-supply.com/CMS50D-Plus-Pulse-Oximeter-p/cms...

Re: Offtopic: Should I remove the bug?
Freaked me out the first time I saw it, thought an actual bug was staring to crawl up my monitor.
I voted to keep it, pretty cool!

Re: Oxygen Level Monitor
Wow...looks like the before reached down to about 70%? If I had thought about it before I started using the CPAP again, during my dizzy/nausea spells (last week) I should have been checking my O2 levels. But at the time it didn't even dawn on me that the possible cause was the sleep apnea, so I was ...

Oxygen Level Monitor
Just curious on your thoughts... I just bought an oxygen level monitor that I can plug into the computer and download up to 30 hours of O2 levels figure this, plus the CPAP card readings should give me a pretty darn good idea on what's going on at night. Am I doing good here, or did I just pretty mu...

Depending on model you may have some data available to look at.
Which model is it?
