8 hours plus
Last night was the first time in months that I slept for over 8 hours and it certainly makes a huge difference in how I feel this morning. I had not been sleeping well for months before my previous machine broke, so I'm assuming that my quality of sleep was affected by a failing machine and older ma...

If he can barely stay awake at night, that can be a passion killer too.Hannibal 2 wrote:Unless there's other pre-sleep activity going on here that is adding to the exhaustion, in which case putting the mask on first may be a bit of a passion killer!

Re: Falling Asleep Before Getting Mask On
Go to bed early, put the mask on and read in bed. Make sure you put the mask on while you read, and if you fall asleep with the lights on, no big deal. At least you will have the machine running and the mask on. Eventually, after you catch up on sleep, you may not have to resort to such measures, bu...

Re: Surgery/ Travel-sized CPAP?
I recently got diagnosed with OSA, and I'm considering pharyngoplasty - has anybody had any success with surgery? A bit about me: I'm male, fit, asian, in my late 20's. I travel a lot and it'd be extremely difficult for me to carry a machine around for the rest of my life, and I don't see my physic...

Re: DreamMapper
Here's mine as shown in Dream Mapper. Nobody else looks at your account so I think the only reason they want it is to give you help and ads based on your machine. If this doesn't match your serial number format, you might try entering this number like this, and change a digit or two near the end (j...

DreamMapper
I tried to register my machine on the dreammapper app, and it keeps telling me my serial number is wrong, but it can't be. The serial number begins with SN, and the app keep telling me that the serial number should begin with a P or a J. This is driving me nuts. Has anyone else had this problem? Wha...

Re: New Machine and Respironics Gel Pillow Mask
I'm not sure if this will work, but here is a picture of my mask. It's just become available, and I had a great night's sleep with it. I had a good sleep and I feel great this morning!

Re: New Machine and Respironics Gel Pillow Mask
When you have time please update your equipment profile...right now it is showing the old F & P Icon. a new avant-garde mask- the Phillips Respironics DreamWear Gel Pillows Mask. I am familiar with the DreamWear Mask but wasn't aware of the "Gel" in the DreamWear ...is this something totally new? W...

New Machine and Respironics Gel Pillow Mask
I haven't been around in quite some time - no problems until my machine failed and had to jump through hoops with Medicare. I now have a Resmed Airsense 10 and a new avant-garde mask- the Phillips Respironics DreamWear Gel Pillows Mask. Because I had another insurance when I was first diagnosed with...

Re: Sore throat from not using CPAP possible?
I find that I have a lot of sinus drainage if I am unable to use my cpap and this can cause a sore throat. Apparently, the air that is blown through my nose dries up my sinus passages, and this is a win, win situation for me.

Re: Untreated apnea kills
I am sorry about your loss. I know you are probably feeling guilt-ridden, but as someone said, you have to take care of yourself first if you''re going to be able to take care of someone else. I too put off calling back or checking on my mother at times, and then I finally do get back with her and a...

Re: Free from sleep apnea
I've lost 130 pounds (without bariatric surgery) but still use my machine. First of all, my sinuses need the humidified, filtered air. Secondly, I still get the occasional hypopnea but I am able to use the machine on apap mode with far less pressure. I love breathing the filtered air, and even thoug...
