Re: Dreamstation 2 preheat & SD card question
according to a comment on youtube, it does not. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bQ_qLsAc_x0 As noted in Zonker's post, I can confirm there is no capability to preheat the water. I moved my card from my DreamStation 1, to a temporary ResMed to a DreamStation 2. Occasionally the DS2 will have an issu...

Dreamstation 2 preheat & SD card question
Does the Dreamstation 2 have a preheat function for the humidifier so you can warm the water before starting the machine? I usually turn on preheat about 10 minutes before using the machine so the air isn't so cold but I can't figure out how. Also I'm switching the SD card from old machine (System O...

Re: New to CPAP but feeling rougher today, REM sleep still not improved.
I've just used my new cpap machine for 3 nights only. I'm getting enough sleep. I've had a look at the forum but unable to find answers so please excuse me if I've missed it due to my dyslexia or brain fog  It took me months to adjust to the CPAP machine and for my sleep to improve. Of course,...

Re: How to win the battle against a mouth breathing preventing you from sleeping ?
Thank you Shimon. Three additional questions, if I may: -did your mouth breathing prevented you from sleeping ? Or was it only a dry mouth problem, when you woke up ? -are you, now, thanks to your regular taping, close to have no problem, any more, with the mouth breathing ? Or that you can solve i...

Re: Resmed AirSense 10 AutoSet - Does AutoSet really work?
You still should have your prescription loaded into the machine. This is entered for both the low and high value. Example - Min 8, Max 12. Some people will suggest setting the max to 20, and let the machine consider how high to go. I did that after posting OSCAR graphs here. It was suggested to rai...

Re: need a new cpap suggestion
There were S9 official name models from ResMed (they also had S7 and S8) but when the AirSense 10 models came out ResMed called them "AirSense/AirCurve 10" and not S10. Then the AirSense11 came out...and again ResMed has never marketed them as S11 BUT that hasn't stopped others from using the S10 o...

Re: How to win the battle against a mouth breathing preventing you from sleeping ?
I was a mouth breather and then I started taping my mouth shut at night...after about a year, I stopped using the tape and I think I've kicked the mouth breathing habit. I just use a tiny piece of 3M Nexcare micropore tape. It's about 1" long by 1/2" wide...I just tear a piece off and stick it on. I...

Resmed AirSense 10 AutoSet - Does AutoSet really work?
Looking to replace my Philips with a Resmed AirSense 10 AutoSet and I've been reading about the AutoSet feature where it automatically sets the pressure. Does this mean you don't enter your prescription pressure and it just sets what it thinks you need? Or do you still enter your pressure range and ...

Re: Selling Resmed Airsense 10 Autoset $280 shipped
I am interested in this but I'm still trying to figure out all the different models and specs of Resmed. But I have some questions: 1. This appears to have an SD card...is it encrypted? Can I use SleepyHead software to read it myself? I see there is something called Oscar too but not familiar with i...

Re: Phillips / Philips Respironics recent recall notice discussion thread
My doc faxed prescriptions for the System One 50 and System One 60 last week, but the status is still showing "please fax us your prescription." anyone else seen anything change at the portal when they faxed the prescription? I just called and spoke to one of the Phillips reps and she said it can t...

Re: Phillips / Philips Respironics recent recall notice discussion thread
We lived for 15+ years in Australia, before moving back to the US in 2018. I was shocked that the doctors and other medical professionals were still using FAX machines here. In Australia, ALL the health system is essentially on the same system - a doctor in Adelaide can access (with your identifica...

Re: Wisp Clear vs Fabric frame
Thanks again for all the replies.
The pad-a-cheek Wisp side strap liners look like a good solution. Although, having an extra mask is always nice as a backup. Plus, I think I'm developing a mask fetish. Can't get enough of them.

Thanks for the replies.
Are the cushions the same for the two different frames? Can you use a cushion from the clear silicone frame on a fabric frame model?
