Re: bipap causing anxiety
I just started using an APAP on May 28th. It took me a few weeks to get the hang of it, but once I did, I began to feel so much better and much more rested. Have patience and faith in yourself that you are doing a good thing for yourself. Best wishes to you!

Re: in desperate need of a new machine
Since I just started using a CPAP in May of this year, I do not have anything that I could give to you. As a new user, and knowing the incredible cost, I have already worried about what I would do if mine gave up. I hope you find something soon.

I am just about to go through this in a few weeks so what perfect timing to ask the same question that I had been wondering about. Thank you to everyone from me also for all of your ideas and thoughts.

Yay Constance! It's not perfect overnight, or every night, but it gets better all the time.

Re: moaning/humming?
I often make a moaning sound as I am falling asleep, with machine or not. I just attributed it to my body/throat/voice box relaxing as I was falling into sleep. Hmmm.

Re: New user saying hello
Welcome. I am new also. I hear that it is often our sleeping partner that knows we have a problem before we do. I have just been on my machine for 3 weeks, and although I know I have a long way to go, I am beginning to feel better, and functioning better. Best of luck to you!

Re: Little bit scared... Got the machine today.
I am new as well. I have just had my machine for about a week and a 1/2. I too feel just a little claustrophobic when I first put my mask on, but it helped when I reduced my ramp time from 20 minutes to 10 minutes. I am usually distracted for the first 10 minutes or so while I sit up and watch a few...
