John, you will want to run this by your doctor--now, while it is only a nuisance.
Yes, I have an appointment with my sleep specialist in a couple of weeks. Being an ex-smoker from years ago it could have something to do with it but in reality I doubt it.

Cheers,
John

Re: FF Mask Recommendations?

Hi everyone, and thanks for the continuing suggestions. I have purchased the Resmed F30I and have used it for the last 4 or 5 nights. Has taken a bit of getting used to, as I was so aware of my old mask and the noises it would make if it was leaking This new one has air coming from different directi...

Re: FF Mask Recommendations?

My all time favorite is the Resmed Airtouch F20. If you use a face mask liner with it you can make it last a long long time. Been nearly 2 years and I am still using the first Airtouch memory cushion I purchased. The memory foam seal looks and feels new. Very comfy with an excellent seal. Hi Steve,...

Re: FF Mask Recommendations?

Well, I'm still looking, but seriously thinking about the new Resmed Airfit F30i FF, but my only concern is how does it handle a side sleeper as in does the air tube not get flattened when laying on it, and sizing as I have read that can be a bit tricky when ordering online as not only the air tube ...

FF Mask Recommendations?

Hi, Have been thinking about renewing my face mask as the headgear is pretty well worn out these days, the cushion is still original at maybe 8 years of age, (Pugsy might remember). Currently using the Resmed Mirage Quattro. I certainly can't complain about it and have always been happy with its per...

Re: Time for a new FFM

Ebay Australia is one potential source for some items https://www.ebay.com.au/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2380057.m570.l1313.TR12.TRC2.A0.H0.XResMed+AirTouch.TRS0&_nkw=ResMed+AirTouch&_sacat=0 That's interesting Pugsy and $20 cheaper than the flash sale. I didn't think EBay was allowed to sell cp...

Re: Time for a new FFM

I think you're on the right track with the Air Touch F20. I've been using the F20 for many months now and it's the best mask (for me) that I've tried. I started using the Air Touch memory foam about 6 months ago, and it still shows no signs of wear. I'm on Medicare so I bought it out of pocket. The...

Re: Time for a new FFM

Are you still in Australia? I have some spare heated hoses for the System One that you could have but due to box size they are awful expensive to ship. They don't weigh much but the box size will hurt a bit. If you want to pay the postage they are free. Yeah, if it's using water then the humidifier...

Re: Time for a new FFM

Check your humidifier first. There's a known problem with some of the System One models. Turn your machine on and crank up the humidifier setting and let it run for about 15 minutes then pull the water chamber out of the box and feel to see if the bottom of the chamber is warm or not. If the humidi...

Time for a new FFM

Hi, I find it time to think about a new FFM, mainly because there is a flash sale happening with up to $100 off RRP. Currently I have been using the Mirage Quattro for about the last 7 or so years and still on the original cushion, but of late am starting to have leak problems and I find I'm having ...

Re: Why is it necessary to have prescription to buy cpap?

Hi John, Welcome. I'm not sure exactly how the law reads, but essentially no "business" in the U.S. may sell cpap machines, new or used, without prescriptions. They are treated similarly to prescription drugs. It's possible the law may not apply if the seller is selling to a foreigner where prescri...

Re: Why is it necessary to have prescription to buy cpap?

The FDA decided that people might over dose on air and cause harm to themselves. If you watch out you might find a used machine for a reasonable price that can be shipped to you. Hi, I would definitely prefer new, I have a thing about second hand don't know why, but thanks for the suggestion anyway...
