Re: battery backup
I think the 150 is Lithium Ion. The ones I have, not for CPAP, are.

Re: Need help with settings (as a solution to snoring)
One way to possibly put a toe in the water would be to set the machine to some
nominal values and then put it beside your reading chair and use it while
you are awake. You will gain some insights. There are physical and
psychological aspects to the regimen. You might even fall asleep.

Re: Emirates Airlines allows CPAP use on board but no connection to aircraft power socket
Emirates treats you nicely. Stay on Emirates, buy a battery, afterward use it as a backup at base camp. Life is too short to pound your head on a pyramid.

Dreamstation Go Battery
I realize that there is a battery option tailored to the Go machine. I have Phillip's Li-on battery that I use on the last generation machine. I realize that the older, larger battery is not designed to fit neatly with go machine. Can it be used in a fixed-base environment---power block-->previous b...

Re: Dreamstation Go Review
Just for the record, I found this review thoughtfully crafted and helpful.
The CPAPdotCOM reviews suffered in that they provided little or no background or logic.

Do we know if the hose-size-related inhale noise is also related to the pressure settings employed?

Re: TAP PAP Nasal Pillow Mask - anyone tried it?
My experience is that you can control the initial tightness by reducing the vacuum you create during the initial forming to your teeth. Just don't try so hard. Regardless, it will settle into a comfortable fit after a while. I was overly zealous the first time as well. I use a toothbrush on it in th...

Re: TAP PAP Nasal Pillow Mask - anyone tried it?
I have used it for 4.5 years and have spares warehoused in case they stop producing it. I replace the mouthpieces every couple of years and I can fit them in ten minutes. The first one takes a bit longer because it is unknown territory.

Re: Mask fit 100% (or nearly) - but wake up with dry mouth
Since you don't seem to 'need' to breathe through your mouth, could you tape you mouth closed experimentally and see if the problem persists? I suspicion that it will. Less than a single night would be telling.

Re: A10 Filters--Antibacterial vs. Hypoallergenic
I use the Respironics version of the "what I got" antibacterial filter. They claim no pressure differential of note. I use it to filter air as it leaves the machine. I discarded the humidifier and I have no experience pumping humidifier air through the filter. As a filter it makes a noticeable impro...

Tahera1979 Is the machine one that can sense the need to adjust or does it operate at a fixed pressure that is manually set?

Re: Congestion and other apneas
I see it differently. If your sinuses are draining then gravity plays its card. Gravity is very persistent. Roll and put the other side down and the problem will migrate---rather quickly in my experience.

Were I in what I perceive to be your situation I would be looking for a second opinion from a fully vetted neurologist. Based on what I read here --- which seems skimpy to me. Only in my opinion of course.

For Those Who Use Tap Pap
I have used Tap Pap for approximately three years. It is a keeper for sure---for me. Rarely, but occasionally, I find the need to adjust the fit of the mouthpiece. I follow the instructions and they work. But merely putting some water in a coffee cup, then microwaving it about a minute and you are n...

Re: filter question
I use these filters and they seem to help with allergies. When I began I decided to raise my minimum pressure from 5 to 7 to account for my imagined (as opposed to measured) impact on air flow. So perhaps I sidestepped an issue. More to the point, it is amazing how quickly the filters take on a gray...
