In digging around further, & in case someone else needs to file on Medicare, I found this site, which links to Form CMS-1490S & that appears to be a form that can be used for DME.

Re: How to Claim Cost of a New Machine on Insurance??
Pugsy Thanks for your help. The insurance companies don't make claiming easy. I got the new one from Cpap.com. They had an Aetna Claim Form on their site, but it looks to be a generic claim form. The machine I had to replace because the motor/bearings had become very noisy, was a recall Philips. Not...

How to Claim Cost of a New Machine on Insurance??
I have Medicare & Aetna Medicare Supplement Plan G. I had to purchase a new CPAP machine because the old one was deteriorating. From what I have read it may be possible to claim some of the purchase cost against either Medicare or Aetna, or both. Has anyone gone down that route & can tell me how to ...

Re: Melatonin As A Sleep Aid - Experiences & Dosage??
Something I left out from my previous long reply: There's a big difference between the 'sub-lingual' variety and 'swallow whole' pills. You dissolve sub-lingual pills under your tongue and they almost immediately deliver the full potency of the pill directly into your blood stream thru the blood ca...

Re: Melatonin As A Sleep Aid - Experiences & Dosage??
as far as I know the minimum dose you can buy is 3 mg. What you can is simple, just bit this into 2 or 3. No need to be so precise ................................ Having asked the question, I decided to dig around & found Amazon sell at least 2, if not more, 0.3 mg tabs, which I believe is 300 mcg...

Re: Melatonin As A Sleep Aid - Experiences & Dosage??
Been taking .3mg tablet at bedtime (yes, not 3mg, 5mg, or 10mg, but .3mg), and it seems to help me getting to sleep, and getting back to sleep when I wake up. No noticeable side effects, but I've only been doing this for about a month. I don't know how old you are, but I"ve read that the body's mel...

Melatonin As A Sleep Aid - Experiences & Dosage??
Having a rough patch of insomnia & GP suggested trying Melatonin to help 'drop off'. Anyone using it & can share whether they find it effective, the dosage level they are using & side effects? As a side comment, have found a previously low level Tinnitus issue has kicked up several notches when swit...

Are you using the "Fabric" frame or the Silicone one??

Penuel I have Sleepyhead s/ware & still getting to grips with it. Need to get my head around your data. Will review/consider your questions & get back. It may not be until tomorrow. The followings are my treatment results in SH. You can see the zero for AHI but the Flow Limitation (FL) graph shows ...

Re: Moved From CPAP to APAP - Not Going Back
I've been considering the move to an APAP. I only recently found out what they were and I've been on a CPAP for 6 years, thanks Docs. I get really inconsistent results with my CPAP (S9 Elite), I've played around with pressures and the EPR but it never seems to help. I have pretty bad allergies whic...

Re: Moved From CPAP to APAP - Not Going Back
Am I correct in assuming the machine is 'learning' my breathing pattern & adjusting & that explains the reduction in AHI over 3 nights?? More likely your body is adjusting to the "new" breathing feeling pattern. The APAP mode doesn't learn anything or remember anything but your own body does. Your ...

Moved From CPAP to APAP - Not Going Back
Over the weekend I moved from CPAP [ 10 minute ramp from 5.5 to 10 ], to APAP, [same ramp, which I found I don't need], with a range of 7 though 12. I immediately noticed a difference in the breathing effort required on APAP compared to CPAP. APAP feels more natural & smoother & requires less 'effor...

Does anyone have an opinion on traveling CPAP machines. I am considering the small Z1 CPAP machine that is at and is as big as a soda can. Does anyone have experience with this?
