Thank you all so much for the support. We will know more after his appointment next Wednesday. They did tell him he has options on the phone because it is mild at this point. So I am not sure what they will be offering him. I have told him how much better I feel after using my cpap and he was willin...

Re: GERD makes my apnea worse
Thanks for all the replies. I do not snore. I have heard that spaghetti sauce is bad but I had tried it once before and didn't have any problems. Guess that is not the case anymore. I woke up with chest pain. I do wonder what is aggravating what. It could be the other way around, you never know. I d...

He has an appointment at the sleep lab on Wednesday to go over his test results. I am so sad to hear that now my 21 year old son has to deal with t...

Re: GERD makes my apnea worse
Chunkyfrog, I tried two different PPI's and they both made me noticeably worse. They brought down my vitamin D levels (to 11) and my magnesium. They also gave me pains in my lower legs. So I had to stop taking those and take supplements to get my vitamin levels back up. I now watch what I eat, I dri...

GERD makes my apnea worse
I have noticed that when my GERD acts up my nights are worse. I always have higher AHI readings on those nights. Last night I had spaghetti for dinner and woke up with bad chest pain around 12:45 a.m. I took some medicine and was able to get back to sleep. However, this morning I noticed my AHI was ...

Bad night last night
I had a terrible night last night. I woke up several times with my heart racing like it used to prior to CPAP. This morning I had a quick glance at my AHI and it said it was 3.7 that is the highest it has been since starting CPAP. The night before last it was 0.3. I do not have a computer right now ...

Is it normal to feel tired and not so good again
I received my CPAP machine on February 24th and have been using it faithfully every night since. I was starting to feel really good the last week or so. I was working out every day, waking up feeling better. I check every day and last night my AHI was 1.8 and the night before my AHI was 0.1 so it is...

Re: Heart palps while using CPAP
Knothead, No I am not on statins, kind of wish I was so I could stop just to see if it would help, lol. I get really scared when I wake with the palps at night. Very uncomfortable feeling. So far they say the heart checks out all good. Hopefully when the event monitor results come in it will still a...

Heart palps while using CPAP
I am new to all of this. I have been using the CPAP for about a week now. Last night I woke up at 3 a.m. and at 5 a.m. with rapid heartbeat again. I am pretty sure this is the first time I have really had it since I have been using the CPAP. I do have GERD also so I am not sure which is causing the ...
