Re: Humidifier not working
NO, everything is about the same in the environment. Is there anything I can do afor the dry mouth until I can get this fixed/replaced? I took it off last night and slept without it because it was so uncomfortable, but I can already feel the difference in my sleep. I don't want to take too many more...

Humidifier not working
I woke up this morning with a painfully dry mouth and a full water tank. Apparently, my humidifier is not working. It looks to be hooked up correctly, and air is still going through it.
I know I can call the home health care people, but I was wondering if there's anything i can check for myself?

Thanks so much. I'll stick to my guns and try it tonight.

IN addition to my Liberty, I have an orthodontic mouth guard for TMJ. Should that help keep everything lined up correctly?

Just need to complain for a few minutes ++
Our furnace has been out since Sunday night. The part is on order, but it may be next week before it all gets fixed. We are using space heaters (carefully) to heat our living areas. The house is about 60 years old, and the wiring is adequate for normal life. However, not all of the circuits are up t...

Re: Where to put my hands?
That's why I love my Vertical Mouse. I got turned onto it about seven years ago, and once I made the adjustment I never looked back. I work at a computer for eight-nine hours a day, and the Vertical Mouse has relieved me from a LOT of arm, wrist and shoulder pain.

Nose plug?
SO...I found out this weekend that the residual air leaking around that nasal pillow is coming from inside my nose. At the higher pressure, it's enough to force air out of that side of my nose, which then leaks around that N.P. (Just for reference, when the NP is unblocked air does not flow INTO tha...

Re: Sleep disorders NOT apnea
I work with a girl who suffers from some form of narcolepsy (not the catatonic kind). She has very similar symptoms to mine with daytime sleepiness, foggy brain, etc. but she has no apnea. They were able to do additional neurologic/sleep testing to eventually get her a diagnosis. What test? I don't ...

Re: Trying to block nasal pillow but it's still blowing
The silicone earplugs sound promising. I tried the regular foam ones, but they weren't quite big enough. I'm really tempted to just duct tape across the bottom of that pillow, or try to seal it off with plastic wrap. Unless the pillow really is blocked up and the air is leaking from my nostril? Is t...

Does Duct tape give off any toxic fumes?

Re: Trying to block nasal pillow but it's still blowing
I can't use a nasal mask - I can't really breathe through my nose. I have one nostril that barely functions, sometimes, and another that doesn't work at all.
I need a FFM and the Liberty is the best for me of any I've tried.

Trying to block nasal pillow but it's still blowing
I've been trying to block off one of my nasal pillows so that it quits leaking air. That nostril does not function. The leak is not major, but it is enough to be annoying and keep me awake. I'm using the Mirage Liberty. I have a cotton ball stuffed up in there, but there is still air getting through...

Re: New to using the machine not new to having one
I am a mouth breather and I had a hard time getting a FFM to fit without shifting or leaking. I tried a hybrid mask (Mirage Liberty) and it works very well for me. I'm a side sleeper from way back, and this is the only mask that stays (pretty much) in place no matter which position I lie in. Leaks a...

Re: Melatonin
*listening*
I've used melatonin on and off, but I've never figured out the "right" time to take it. I'm either sleepy way too early or groggy in the morning. Looking forward to hearing from people with good results.
