Re: Home sleep study vs hospital sleep study
Two months ago: The home sleep study results finally came back. Let's get the raw data from that. What unit did they use? Thanks very much for all this, Morbius! I'll send fax's from the Internet and I'm going to request the raw data from both the home and hospital study (though I don't know whethe...

Re: Home sleep study vs hospital sleep study
Thanks very much , Morbius. I'm wondering what SWJ is, and what the significance of the central apnea is. I'm wondering if I need CPAP. The people at the DME seem to be idiots, and I don't think my family doctor knows that much about it either. I'm going to have to contact the hospital directly to g...

Re: Feeling kinda insulted
I am feeling quite happy to be wearing a size small resmed F10 full face mask. It has been a few years since I could fit into anything labeled size small.

Re: Cat bites mask/hose and turns off machine
My son-in-law uses cpap. A few months ago their two-year-old chewed a hole in the hose. I'm not sure how they keep him from pressing the buttons.

Re: Run time Airsense 10 Autoset
I'm picking up a new Resmed A 10 auto set For Her in a couple of days. I will definitely check this out, preferably before I get it home , assuming the DME let's me get at the controls while I'm in their office. They seem to be a sleazy outfit and I don't trust them about anything. I hope they don't...

Re: Home sleep study vs hospital sleep study
Here is my data from last night. I couldn't sleep, so I took the mask off for awhile, then changed the pressure range to 6-8 (It had been 4 - 16). I got back to sleep and woke up feeling surprisingly refreshed. And I didn't have ANY OA events. (I had 1 hypopnea). This is the first time I haven't had...

Re: Home sleep study vs hospital sleep study
have it shipped to the hotel I work @ in Port Angeles when It comes spend the night and pick it up save a bundle. Hmmm...maybe that is a possibility. I wonder if I would have to pay duty to bring it across the border. I live in Kamloops, which is not near the border, but I visit my daughter in Vict...

Re: Effexor and waking up early/nausea/shaky/headache
Do you take the Effexor once a day? I take Effexor morning and evening. If I forget the evening dose I usually have strange dreams that night. I haven't noticed any of the symptoms you mention.

I fall asleep while reading. It is the only way I can get to sleep.

Re: Home sleep study vs hospital sleep study
The DME phoned on Thursday and told me the Resmed F10 for her they ordered for me is in... I had made up my mind to go ahead and buy the damned thing since my extended health plan will pay 95% of the exorbitant price the DME is charging ($2300). Yeah that's a bit steep. You should get it from cpap....

The DME phoned on Thursday and told me the Resmed F10 for her they ordered for me is in. I'm supposed to go in Wednesday , in two days, to pick it up and return the S9 loaner I'm using now. I still don't know what the results of the hospital sleep study are. Dr. appointment to discuss it isn't for a...

Well it would probably be a good weight loss technique if nothing else.archangle wrote:One supposed miracle fix is to stop eating 12 to 16 hours before you want to get up. Then have a good breakfast after you wake up. May or may not work, but is cheap, fairly easy, and probably safe.
