Re: Disagreement with doctor...
My Dr. has given me permission to fully control my VPAP settings. Being that I know the Respiratory field, and have studied it for years, studying subjects from Oxygen Therapy to High Frequency Oscillatory Ventilation, to the Administration of Inhailed Nitric Oxide, and Heliox! I have been around th...

Re: Disagreement with doctor...
You know, a lot of Drs. will take control of their patient's pressures. In other words, they will refuse to allow their patients to have anything to do with their pressure changes on their PAP therapy device. THIS IS WRONG! As the owner of a PAP THERAPY DEVICE, it is YOUR ABSOLUTE RIGHT, YOUR DUTY, ...

Re: ResMed S9 VPAP Climate Control questions!on
OOOOOOOPS! OK. I am soooooooooooooooooo sorry. Since I've been in and out of hospitals most of my life, I have been around, on and off ventilators, and I love the medical field. I have studied this stuff all of my life. The hoses in the respiratory field are often referred to as circuits. Even the C...

Re: ResMed S9 VPAP Climate Control questions!on
I am calm. Yes, Iam very excited, because this ResMed humidifier without the ClimateLine circuit is really making my nose dry. I have cranial Facial anomolies, and my left nostril is less than the size of a Newborn baby's nostril. I have trouble clearing my secretions already with Neuromuscular dete...

ResMed S9 VPAP Climate Control questions!on
Hello everybody. I have a question. As you know from previous posts from me if you have seen them, I will be getting a ClimateLine Heated wire Circuit since I have a ResMed S9 VPAP! I was fooling around in the clinician's menu today, (YES, I know how to get in there, and I DO THIS EVERY SINGLE DAY, ...

Re: Latest User's Manual to SleepyHead
I totally must agree with you. Essentially BiLevel is a wider EPR. So if a patient is on CPAP, and they need PER, then, you could slightly increase the CPAP pressure above the Point where apneas and other Sleep Related breathing events are stopped, and then initiate EPR so that the exhalation is ess...

Re: pressure changes
Hello. I want you to know that as the owner of the PAP therapy device, you ARE IN FULL CONTROL, of your pressures, and your settings. If you want to change your settings, because you feel that they are too high, or too low, YOU HAVE EVERY RIGHT, to change your settings. Medicare cannot take your PAP...

Re: Latest User's Manual to SleepyHead
That is so amazing. I love my VPAP S9 auto. You know, the old PAP therapy machines used a card known as Encorepro and you had to have a card reader, so you could not just put it into your computer. I am sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo glad I do not have one of those anymore....

Re: Latest User's Manual to SleepyHead
Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. OK. I see. I understand. So whatever is happening, its what the MACHINE is calling it. So, I understand now. the Machine is ultimately what decides to call these events. It is not with SleepyHead. Its the MACHINE that is labeling these events. WOW! All right. Thank you very very...

Re: Latest User's Manual to SleepyHead
Thank you so much. Yeah, on SleepyHead, it doesn't label as Unknown. On Sleepyhead that I am using, it labels it as Unclassified. I looked around, and it appears that this would happen if there were large leaks, but I had looked where my Unclassified apneas were, and there were not really any sort o...
