Hello & Check In
Hi All. Thank you all for your help this past year. Haven't been here for a month or two. Two days before Christmas I entered a women's shelter and the bed here is surprisingly comfortable. I can stomach sleep half the night which is great, but side sleeping (which body demands I do the other half o...

Re: Heart doesn't feel right when going into sleep
Thanks Mudrock I was just looking at your mask, the Airfit 10. How does it stay on if there's no headgear or straps on forehead? (Unless I saw photo wrong it looks that way). One strap goes around the base of the skull, the other more towards the top of the skull. The seal is really good with this ...

Re: I really need some help.
PS I did something that felt good last night Although I can't see my niece (sibling is acting odd too), I sent her a little something for XMas and a card telling her I love her. I miss her like crazy but want her to know I haven't abandoned her! She's 7 and amazing. Ok now before this changes anymor...

Re: I really need some help.
Hi Mudrock. I got a positive impression of your situation. Even though I don't like what my family has done, when I see people who know us both, I won't gossip about them. They're at me again this morning with more emails...I'm not responding at all. I'll be gone in 24 hrs or less so...sad but a nec...

Re: Heart doesn't feel right when going into sleep
I wonder if I'm so darned exhausted - that as I go to sleep my body is just shocked.
This has happened before without CPAP too.

Re: I really need some help.
Murdock, What a great post. Thank you SO much. I appreciate your experience re: apnea, but the other things you shared and suggested were JUST what I needed to hear today. So glad you were willing to be brave enough to change regardless of what others want to do. And that's right - people will often...

Re: I really need some help.
Heart Jumping, thanks for the encouragement! I LOVE the graph! So happy your CPAP therapy is working finally. Hi all. I am trying to use my CPAP each night but it's just not working. Something is wrong. I am absolutely exhausted beyond belief. I'm sorry if you already set it and I missed it, but how...

Heart doesn't feel right when going into sleep
Last night used CPAP again. Fell asleep on back which I usually don't do, but have to due to body pain. As soon as I started faking into a deep sleep, it felt like my heart was "falling" or "caving in" or something...my heart actually hurt. This happened twice. Then I gave up, got on stomach and sle...

Hi all. I am trying to use my CPAP each night but it's just not working. Something is wrong. I am absolutely exhausted beyond belief. I'm sorry if you already set it and I missed it, but how long have you been on CPAP? It's actually quite common for people to be exhausted at first until they get us...

Re: I really need some help.
Thank you Sleeprider. I agree that I need a specialty pillow and a better mask fit. Also FINALLY got someone on the line at the DME who spent the time with me I needed and explained so much more. I had been practicing breathing deeply with this machine instead of just breathing normally - or even sh...

Re: I really need some help.
The actual time in large leak vs time with mask off is easily seen on the software reports. Unfortunately as you know Sleepyhead doesn't work with your machine yet so you would have to use Encore. At this point though...while leaks are a potential issue of course...your taking the mask off prematur...

Re: I really need some help.
Thank you Pugsy and Buford.
The tape is a good idea. Still confused as to how much of that mask leak rate issue to actual leaks but I'll find out more on that today.
Chest discomfort and other signs of longterm exhaustion have been happening for a few years. It's all due to exhaustion, yep.

Re: I really need some help.
Thanks. I know - my situation seems that of a teenager but I'm 50. Toxic family dysfunction can keep people sick for years in many ways. The exhaustion has always been what's holding me back. I am in fact highly intelligent and very capable...I began to come out of denial 5 years ago and started to ...

I really need some help.
Hi all. I am trying to use my CPAP each night but it's just but working. Something is wrong. I am absolutely exhausted beyond belief. Slept from about 10pm to 4:30 this morning (always wake up too early, unrested with big bags under eyes, more tired than when I went to bed). I got a new mask (size s...
