Re: Thoughts on the respironics fitlife full face mask?
Hey John - Fisher Paykel makes a mask called the "Forma" that actually goes under the chin. As a respiratory therapist, I am not a fan of the fit-life, but fisher paykel does make a few masks, like the forma that can go under the chin (and also the HC432 FlexiFit). Have you tried any durable chinstr...

Re: Recall / Quality of F&P Icon+'s?
I deal with the F+P Icons on a daily basis. They know that they have a problem with it so the warranty for the units 2012 and up (The light gray ones) have extended warranties. If it stops powering on, notify your distributor. They SHOULD take it back and replace it with a newer 2015 model. I have h...

Re: Best Full Face Mask For High Pressure Bipap
I am a therapist working DME (Non Invasive Ventillation). And the Simplus FFM is going to have to be the best best for BiPap pressures. Every sales rep (respironics, resmed, etc.) claims that their mask can withstand the pressure and properly hold a seal. But fitting 15+ masks a day, Fisher Paykel d...

Re: Resmed Airfit F10 FFM leaks
Matt, I see that your IPAP is at 20 now. Have you had the mask for 30 days already? Most companies will offer a 30 day mask exchange policy because the vendor will replace it if it isn't a good match. I would call your supplier and try to get it switched to a Fisher Paykel Simplus or a ResMed Quattr...

Re: Resmed Airfit F10 FFM leaks
Matt, Do you know what your IPAP/EPAP pressures are? If it is anything above 16, I find that the F10 is just not viable for high pressures, especially BiPap pressure ranges. When the pressure gets up on that mask, it tends to lift up because there is no forehead stability measure on it. I am not sur...

Re: FFM Issues
Hey Eprin, When you say you are new to CPAP therapy, how new are you? I encounter patients with this problem quite often, so it's definitely not out of the ordinary. I find the Quattro FX to be a decent mask, but the problems you are talking about with the nasal blockage is going to come from most F...
