Re: OT - Reality Check
I'm so sorry. I know you must be beyond worried and anxious, and proud of your son. Every night I pray for the soldiers that keep us safe, which unfortunately some people just take for granted. Although my sons are not old enough to serve, as a mother myself I share in your sentiments.

I am awake, so I thought I would delete some of the spam, but for the life of me, I can't find a spam button! Do I need to have a certain number of posts first?

Re: Hurricane Matthew
The tree is down! That massive white oak is no longer in danger of crushing the back of the house! If anyone in Raleigh ever needs tree work done, I highly recommend Curtis Tree Climbing (of course bonded, insured, and certified arborist). The hurricane was just 3 days ago, and to have this tree tak...

Re: Hurricane Matthew
Thank you for all the exciting conversation concerning my tree. Ya'll make me smile-and everyone needs a little giggle now and then! First of all, if any of my fellow CPAPers or their family members work for any of the power companies that have made the journey to help restore power in NC, I so appr...

Re: Hurricane Matthew
Update: The tree is still standing! Two of the tree companies I left messages for returned my calls and they said that they should be finished getting other customers' trees off their houses by Thursday. Then they could come take down the tree that's threatening our house.

Re: Hurricane Matthew
Thank you BlackSpinner! Luckily I have this fantastic friend who owns a tree service. The big problem is that there is a good chance the tree could fall on the house tonight. Most of Raleigh is still without power, and many roads are closed due to flooding. They have cancelled school tomorrow due to...

Re: Hurricane Matthew
Glad to know you are safe! I live on a dirt road with lots of my relatives having houses around me (big chunk of family land). My parents live across the road from us, and my daddy has severe COPD and is on oxygen 24/7. He uses an oxygen concentrator, and really only has a few days/weeks before he p...

Hurricane Matthew
Just checking in to make sure everyone's doing OK with the hurricane. Raleigh's been without power for a few hours. Roads are flooded out. Some big trees are blocking roads. But with the grace of God, we'll get through it, as well as any of my fellow cpapers in the path of the storm.

Re: Feeding the CPAP humidifier when traveling
I'm at the beach right now (I know-eat your heart out) and brought my distilled water with me. When I'm gone for just a few days, I fill up my big reusable water bottle with distilled water. It has a great seal on it (Thermos brand from Target). It has never leaked on me. Now if you can excuse me, I...

Re: Airmony CPAP
I am toying with the idea of writing a book about making appeals for the funding of hare-brained, Rube Goldberg types of CPAP contraptions. Any pointers as to where I might get some ideas, and a starting point ? Thanks in advance ! (Pre-publication/pre-order discounts are available to anyone provid...

Re: Writing a book about sleep apnea
Then why don't you admit that you copied someone else's work word for word and called it your own, even asking for donations if people found your work helpful? If you did nothing wrong, then WHY DID YOU CHANGE THE CONTACT EMAIL ADDRESS on your blog this morning from Pumbany to SleepApneaLife?

Re: Writing a book about sleep apnea
LSAT was so kind to point out that there is a blog entitled "My Sleep Apnea" detailing one gentleman's experience with his sleep apnea (I am so sorry-I can't get the links set up; you will have to cut and paste. Someone please post a reply including these two articles to make it easier for everyone....

Sweetheart, I just want to reach through this screen and give you a big hug! I am so sorry that you are having problems. Don't let this put a damper on your attitude about cpap. You've got bunches of us waiting to hear about how you get this resolved. Hang in there! And if you want a little laugh, r...
