Re: AirMini - More Info (And ask your questions)
My bed mate reported that the AirMini didn’t really seem any louder. I think some of the sound may be conducted to the wearer more than others. I think/hope ResMed can improve the noise level with an improved hose assembly. I am leaning towards keeping the unit. I like being able to travel for a wee...

Re: AirMini - More Info (And ask your questions)
Your pictures show that with all the ancillary equipment (power brick, etc) the size of the Airmini is starting to get near the size of the Airsense 10 if you're packing it into a bag. If it's traveling that is your reason for buying the Airmini, try taking the humidifier off the Airsense and then ...

Re: AirMini - More Info (And ask your questions)
Confused. I saw my first mini in person at a friend's house last night and was very impressed by size and weight. Asked friend to use it (put on and breath for a few minutes, pillow style mask) so I could hear the noise. It was super quiet. SO: is the noise audible only to the wearer? Friend said i...

AirMini - More Info (And ask your questions)
There is an online company that now offers the AirMini with a 30 day return policy (I am not sure if I can say the name?). I decided to bite the bullet and try it out. So far impressed with size but not much else :-( The noise is as bad as people say! LOL. My normal setup is AirSense 10 with P10 pil...

Re: Backup mask to use with beard (Mostly a DME rant)
Aaaand I do want to get this taken care of but I only care about it maybe 30 minutes out of the week. Ha ha ha. I'll send some PMs and see if someone here can't help me out then. I just accidentally ordered the wrong mask on replenishment from my DME (Airfit N10 wanted the P10 but the P10 I have is ...

Re: Backup mask to use with beard (Mostly a DME rant)
Guess it wasn't clear -- Looking for suggestions for full face mask to use the handful of times a year when a nasal mask only just won't cut it. I can order from my DME online so once I gather some ideas here I'll probably just go for it (and forgoe working with their less-than-helpful staff). THE G...

Backup mask to use with beard (Mostly a DME rant)
Posting again after a huge hiatus (Mostly because everything CPAP has been smooth sailing. Thanks cpaptalk and the collective internet for getting me off on the right foot!). I had a couple miserable upper-respiratory infections right when I started CPAP and with the mask I had (Started with AirFit ...

Re: AirFit N10 Slight Leak (Phantom Leak?) Into Eyes
Ok did this:
Put mask on BEFORE turning air on
Put mask lower on nose
Seemed to get it under control. Slightly lower AHI today and didn't feel leaks last night.

Re: Week 1 under my belt - it's going ok
Yeah the ResMed A10's settings can be adjusted remotely by the DME via the cellular modem. It's actually a pretty great feature if you think about it. For folks who are not invested enough in their therapy to seek out a forum on the internet and learn how to roll their own, it WAY WAY WAY speeds up ...

AirFit N10 Slight Leak (Phantom Leak?) Into Eyes
In the last few days I've started to feel some tiny leaks from my AirFit N10 into my eyes. Software says my leak numbers are good so this seems to be mainly a comfort issue: http://cpaptalkimg.s3.amazonaws.com/Screenshot%202016-03-03.PNG But I wake up with "tired eyes" from the air blowing into them...

Re: Week 1 under my belt - it's going ok
Oh if this is newbie corner can I chime in too? I had a great DME who tried 6 or 7 masks on me and made sure I left with one that fit great. That's the good. The bad is they thought their "secret sauce" preferred humidifier settings were better than letting the machine figure the optimal humidity ou...

Re: A10 makes noise during inhale
Hey GB, you might be onto something there with the time space continuum! Actually it was humming BEFORE I changed the clock. So hm. Actually I took a closer look at the bottom of the machine (Humidifier removed!) and noticed that there aren't any rubber "feet" on the bottom of the machine, but rathe...

A10 makes noise during inhale
Hey all, First of all -- thanks again to everyone for the wealth of knowledge here. Crazy to think I had my study just a few weeks ago and how quickly everything changes around. Anyway thanks to the plethora of good information here and elsewhere, I was able to start my CPAP therapy last night with ...

Re: Insurance Blue Cross Blue Shield
You'll need to check with the DME and/or Blue Cross Blue Shield. BCBS is a huge conglomerate of companies and plans. In some cases, such as the BCBS plan I am on, BCBS is just administrating an insurance plan that is wholly and totally self-funded by the (very large) corporation that I work for. The...

Re: My split study story and questions about DME
Thanks again, everyone, for the info. The DME (slash sleep center) finally called me today but I didn't return their call in time, I'll call them tomorrow. I was able to get my Rx from the doctor as well as the summary that he diagnosed from. It's just a 2-pager but it has a lot more info and makes ...
