FYI to VA members
I have been on a Resmed Airsense 10 autoset for about 5 yrs. I initially requested a bilevel aircurve machine because of COPD, was told I had to try the Airsense first. My machine has over 15,000 hrs and no longer has communication (3g). A couple of weeks ago I requested a new machine and was told V...

Re: Help with VA rating
You have the hardest part done, that is getting it service connected, I have been trying to get mine service connected for awhile and it is an uphill battle. You really need to wait until they give you a rating based on all the information you have submitted to the VA. If you don't get the rating yo...

My wife has no grip so I sprung for a Black and Decker electric, not cheap but works fantastic on everything we tried.

Re: CPAP not for me
Chances are with VA he has a resmed auto airsense a10 (that is what they gave me), they supply excellent equipment,as much as you need at no cost. I just had a childhood friend die because he was to proud or stubborn to work with VA and their help. Hope this doesn't happen here but he is a man grown...

Re: Hi, new member help with Resmed Machine selection
UPDATE: Completed sleet study and got the Resmed Autosense S10 Auto, very nice unit. VA will monitor for a month or two and depending on the numbers will probably issue a Bipap (curve). Tonight will be my first night to work with it, had to order a mask as the VA masks are older models (their supply...

Re: Hi, new member help with Resmed Machine selection

Re: Hi, new member help with Resmed Machine selection
Thanks for the responses, I understand the procedures and will probably have to do the same with VA, but you both have missed the question.
Do you think an autosense (apap) will work OK with my COPD - no sense in BiPap if the cheaper machine will work.

VA here in Portland,Or has: Resmed Autosense 10 autoset and Resmed Air Curve 10 Vauto bilevel units. I asked about bilevel on my first night and was told they will...
