Amara View Longevity
Been getting a lot of poor mask fit warnings. Mask fit can be anywhere from 50% - 80%. Not sure why this suddenly started happening, as I've not changed anything about I put the mask or headgear on. It fits well when I'm dozing off and I generally stay in one place all night so it's not like I'm rol...

Re-acclimation
Hello all. It's been some time since I've been here. Hope everyone is doing well. Near the end of October, I had to have dental surgery and was advised to avoid using my machine for a few nights to prevent inadvertently blowing bacteria into the incisions while they were healing. Frustratingly, I ha...

Re: This is probably a dumb question
I'm new here myself so that "suffocating" feeling is fresh in my mind. Raising the pressure should help with that. It was the first piece of advice the folks here gave me and it worked. I went from a 5 to a 7 and plan to go up to an 8 in a few days. Mouth breathers should definitely use full face ma...

Periodic Breathing and Waking
I had a few of the Periodic Breathing episodes last night, but in looking at the time I can tell you that this was when my alarm was going off and I was starting to wake up (only to shut if off and sleep for another hour, but I did look at the clock before turning it off). My AHI was up overall. Las...

Re: The ways my health has improved
Very encouraging post. I'm still tweaking my pressure and finding the right balance. My AHI is still around 5, but that's a marked improvement from pre-CPAP. I am still groggy and tired most of the day but am at least getting more sleep with the mask on. I look forward to the time when "more" sleep ...

Re: Finally some data
Something to consider, re: the side sleeping. I do that quite often. I grabbed last night's results. Went to bed late, but still got 6 hours in. Seems like last night's average pressure was a little higher. I also had a "clear airway" apnea (I noticed one in the previous chart as well). I'll be incr...

Re: starting CPAP tomorrow, nervous
SeekingWellness2016, as a fellow newcomer to this journey, the best thing I can tell you is listen to the voices of wisdom. There are a lot of experienced folks here and they know their stuff. I'm about 2 weeks in and while I've heard stories that after just one night, some folks feel better, I am d...

Re: Finally some data
Thank you all. Pugsy. I'll be sure to expand the relevant graphs next time. Cands, I'm tolerating 6 very well so I could probably make a jump right to 7, then a jump to 8 and maybe 9 if needed, as LSAT mentioned. I'm amazed at what a difference going from 5 to 6 made in my ability to fall asleep mor...

Finally some data
Thanks again to the advice granted in my previous thread. Just wrapping up my second week on CPAP and thanks to the pointers and encouragement here, I'm feeling better and at least a little more comfortable with it. For one thing, bumping the minimum pressure up even just to 6 was a huge help, and e...

Re: Brain Fog & CPAP
The software indicated that the leaks are too high. You are using the DreamStation from Respironics and the SleepyHead software defaults to leak threshold data for the ResMed machine. So SleepyHead will tell you that leaks are worse than they really are based on the default. Open SleepyHead and go ...

Re: Brain Fog & CPAP
...would bump up the low to 6 or 7, still low, but better for now, though it's very possible you will bump it again in future. I would feel foggy at such low settings myself, and fog wasn't even a symptom I had to begin with. What are the implications of manually adjusting the pressure settings? I ...

Re: Brain Fog & CPAP
Thanks for your reply! I do have it on before bed for about half hour, usually I'm in my laptop to unwind while wearing it. That has helped a lot.
I'll check into the Sleephead software. Thanks!
Julie thanks for the advice, I will try that and see.

Brain Fog & CPAP
Hello. I've read a few topics on here about brain fog symptoms that apnea sufferers have dealt prior to beginning CPAP therapy or even issues that began pre-therapy and continued into the early stages of CPAP. I'm a new CPAP user. I was diagnosed with OSA 2-3 months ago. Pre-therapy symptoms include...
