Re: AHI lower on mini vs airsense 10?
I answered the original post, trying to be relevant to the question. Isn't that allowed anymore now? You should try... The level of childish and rude responses from a couple of people polluting constantly threads on this forum is mind-blowing. Clearly people not feeling or sleeping that well, to be ...

Re: AHI lower on mini vs airsense 10?
I have both the Airsense 10 For Her and the Airmini, and the Airmini has reported many times a slightly lower AHI than my main machine. I think it's just a precision or measuring issue. To be honest, the data provided on the Airmini app is quite useless.

Re: How much does mouth taping help?
When I moved from a full face mask to a nasal mask, I had leaks through my mouth (basically opening my mouth during sleeping, and therefore introducing leaks). I tried a chin strap but that didn't help. I have been taping since (using some 3M micropore medical tape, which is cheap and easy to remove...

Re: Two questions about Airsense 10
Hi, I have an Airsense 10 . My first question is I can not get it to stop leaking. I am assuming you say it's leaking because the machine itself is reporting some leaks, as opposed to you hearing something? If so, it most likely means your mask is moving/lifting when you sleep, and therefore air is...

Re: Resmed mini Darth Vader mask!!
The sound doesn’t bother me, but if I sleep with ear plugs (my wife streams videos on her phone sometimes when she can’t sleep), I sleep much better. I sleep with ear plugs, so the noise of the diffuser/exhaust on the Airmini doesn't impact me. However, the breathing/inhaling noise coming from insi...

Re: Why the hell would I use a humidifier.
When I started CPAP a couple of years ago, the Resmed machine provided didn't come with a humidifier, and it was winter in England. I just couldn't sleep with the flow of cold air (room was quite cold during the night) coming into my nose and mouth (first mask was full face), so the first thing I di...

Re: Why the hell would you use a humidifier on your CPAP
Excuse my rudeness but!!!!!!!!! I hope I am reasonably educated in bacteriology, physics, medicine, respirology etc as I am a GP. Ah, a shambling moron that thinks they know everything... right. Why the need to insult people? He is entitled to his opinion, and he can also state his background/educa...

Re: Resmed Airmini and N20 mask
Resmed decided that some level of humidification was an essential feature. Water humification using a tank presents huge difficulties for a small travel device. As an alternative to a tank, Resmed developed a method of recovering moisture from exhaled air and reusing it. To do this requires a mask ...

Re: Nasal pillow mask and side sleepers
I was using a Resmed Mirage FX until recently, but had more leaks when sleeping on the side. I am now using a Resmed N20: because of the hard frame at the front around the cushion, and also the cushion much smaller than the Mirage FX (comparing medium sizes), the N20 is much more accommodating to si...

Re: Resmed mini Darth Vader mask!!
Look at my review/thread I have just posted.
One way to decrease the inhaling noise is to have the machine lower (e.g. on the floor) and also the hose lower than the mask (as opposed to higher, using a holder etc.)

Resmed Airmini and N20 mask
I have been using a Resmed Airsense 10 for her at home for a couple of years, and have been using the Resmed Mirage FX nasal mask for more than a year now (after using a full face mask and then a Fisher & Paykel Eson nasal mask). I am happy with both the Airsense 10 and the Mirage FX mask, but wante...

Re: Newbie in Europe would like advice on choosing CPAP
He is based in Europe (as the title implies), so cpap.com is probably not the most convenient online shop. In addition, they do ask for a written prescription, even when ordering masks or mask replacement, which wouldn't be the case in Europe. Resmed even sells machines in Europe without seeing a pr...

Re: Setting up a new Airsense 10 Autoset
Here's the thing about maximum pressure settings in the auto adjusting mode....if the machine never goes there it doesn't really matter what you set it at. So you can set it tight or wide open and if the machine never has a need to go higher it becomes a moot point. Apart from the fact that some pe...

Re: First night with a CPAP....ugh
Regarding the EPR, it doesn't seem like it is something I can adjust...it is not listed in the options I can change settings on? You would need to go into the clinical menu of your machine. Press the home and round button at the same time for a few seconds. EPR should be listed, as well as whether ...
