Re: Rolling back the odometer on an AirSense 10

Could I take the new motor out of my new AirSense 10 and place it in my old AirSense 10 (with 16,000+ hours on it) and just keep using it. Thus, I'd keep accruing hours on my old AirSense 10 (which otherwise still works fine except for the whinny motor), but my new one would stay with zero hours. S...

Oh well....we are here to help...not judge.
Not exactly...I certainly wouldn't call it the Mission Statement of this website, based upon some of the user base and their attack on new users!

Re: Any concerns for a newbie to use my friend's old CPAP machine? (ResMed S9)

I'm surprised no one has yet mentioned it... But you may want to just ask your friend if they ever used an Ozone Cleaner (such as SoClean - those commercials by Captain Kirk)? If so, let us know to determine next steps. If not, there should be no other real issues going forward. Do you know how many...

Re: Need help with deciding on machine purchase

I called and I spoke with someone and I'm supposed to get a call back from someone higher up about the matter. I hope you follow-up and give us a rundown of how it all works out. I'm interested in how long it takes someone, higher up, to give you a call...and how many days they take to call. There ...

Re: Need help with deciding on machine purchase

... And I won't buy a used machine from a deceptive party either, even if it appears to be a good deal. Remember...in the end, it's all just business! If you could talk them into selling it to you for $300 or less, you'd be getting a great deal - for YOU! What's the worst that can say, No? I...

Re: Need help with deciding on machine purchase

I am very angry about the deception! I am not against a used machine. Had this been presented to me upfront and under different circumstances I would have purchased it for a reasonable price. Because this is being done through insurance it needed to be the prescribed machine and new. I did speak wi...

Re: Need help with deciding on machine purchase

Hi I just joined the board. I have been reading the messages for a while as I am new to using CPAP. I need help! I have been waiting for many months to get my machine. I have insurance although I'm paying the full price because I have not met my deductible. I was told I would be getting a ResMed ai...

Re: ResMed AS10 Std vs Dishwasher Safe Humidifier Tank

I take it back, it looks like the AS 11 tank has a different, more rounded front profile, so I guess you have a new round bottom AS 10 tank. Very interesting. Thanks for the pics. You're welcome... I didn't mean to hijack your thread but it seemed like an appropriate place to wonder about the two d...

Re: Rolling back the odometer on an AirSense 10

I can tell you that I had the motor changed in my old S9 and the counter was reset to zero - I assume the service department did that. But maybe the counter is in the motor itself? That's what I'm really wondering...is where is the counter? If I get a chance this weekend, maybe I'll take apart my m...

Rolling back the odometer on an AirSense 10

Ok, first let me state, I would NEVER do thi s but the thought crossed my mind that it could be done... So, my old AirSense 10 developed a whinny noise in the turbine fan motor about 6+ months ago. I only notice the whinny noise during warmup or cooldown but not during actual use. So, I reached out ...

Re: ResMed AS10 Std vs Dishwasher Safe Humidifier Tank

The one with the round bottom appears to be the tank for the AirSense 11. Does it actually fit the older AirSense 10? Yep, the one with the round bottom is the same one I received today via UPS and is in the new ResMed AirSense 10....waiting for me to come to bed! And yes, the new tank fit in my ol...
