CPAP is for pressure but not for oxygen right?
Let me clear up my question. CPAP's are used to treat obstructed (OSA), hypopnea's and some central apnea's (CSA) using pressure, yes? But they don't provide oxygen? Well they do, but they don't right? Reason I'm asking....I have hypopnea's and shallow breathing. My AHI has never read over 1 every s...

Still waking up with a little discomfort about 2am
I recently posted about my success with my CPAP, or APAP I guess. Most nights are somewhat uneventful, however occasionally I'll still wake up at 2-3am with some slight issue. I don't wake gasping for breath, but I wake up and it seems as if every time I wake I'm not taking a breath. My pillows are ...

I fought the CPAP and the CPAP won. Happy user after 5 months.
I'll try to be brief, but back in April I started using full mask with my AirSense 10. I HATED it. I've lived with Hypopnea for a couple of years and I would wake up at 2 or 3 or 4 am with my stomach in pain (from my diaphram locking up "that's my description"), blood pressure high, heart racing and...

Re: Newbie who HATED the CPAP setup...NOW won't give it up!
You know I awoke about 3:30 and noticed it a little bit but not enough for me to get up. Gosh, once a night. That's something I would not worry about. But, if you are very curious, here is a little trick. When this happens, turn your machine off, and then turn it back on. Or, let it AutoStart (reco...

Re: Newbie who HATED the CPAP setup...NOW won't give it up!
Did you experience this? ---------> I'll wake up in the middle of the night, and all of a sudden I notice my heart rate is up, my BP as well. You know I awoke about 3:30 and noticed it a little bit but not enough for me to get up. I did feel like bumping up the min/max it pushed up the air a little ...

Re: Newbie who HATED the CPAP setup...NOW won't give it up!
Chicago Granny and LSAT....I completely understand what you're saying. However I have something that happens to me that nobody can figure out. My doctor doesn't seem too concerned about it, however it doesn't happen to him. I'll wake up in the middle of the night, and all of a sudden I notice my hea...

Re: Newbie who HATED the CPAP setup...NOW won't give it up!
My AHI is usually 0.0 or .33 is about the highest. I've never seen it above 1. My SleepHead reports gives me very low RERA's, Hypopneas, and OSA's. However, I still will have 3 or 4 quick events per night.

Newbie who HATED the CPAP setup...NOW won't give it up!
I started using my ResMed AirSense10 in early April with a mask. Settings were 5-15, autoramp, and whatever else came with all the factory settings. I hated it. Pressure felt like it was shoving air in my face, I couldn't breathe calmly, blah, blah, blah. So I hardly used it and then after 6 weeks t...

Re: Waking up at the same interval everynight
I've had the EXACT same issue with waking up about 2:30-3:00 every night. My OSA are low and I'm a shallow breather, so I think I'm NOT getting enough air with my levels set a 4.8-11. I have mild hypopnea's. I'm going to up mine to 5.0-5.2 and see if it helps. It's been a long time since I've had a ...

Re: Struggling with finding the right pressure and broken sleep
I might add I wore the pillows after dinner just for a few minutes, hence you see the gap in use. I'm really wondering if there's something odd near the 2:30 am time that caused me to wake.
thanks
