I recently heard that Innomed will be releasing a new interface called the Bravo. They say it will compete with the Swift, Opus and OptiLife. Not sure on release date.

Did you see a Sleep Doc?

Hello, I am interested in how many of you actually consulted with a sleep doc about your apnea. It seems there are some people who go to the sleep lab and never see a sleep doc, and then suddenly get a call from the DME stating they have a prescription for your CPAP. There are others who are fully i...

Frostman,

Yes, it is possilbe to loose weight and can the CPAP. If you do loose weight I would consult with your Doc before stoping CPAP. CPAP is not just for the overweight person. I have seen cases of OSA on just about all ages and weights.

Good luck with running 3 miles a day!

Rickh,

Make sure you are not sleeping in an elevated position. Try to keep your head level with your torso. This may help if you are swallowing air casing the stomach pain. If the problem persits consult with your MD at once.

Hello Guest,

I suggest you get with the provider who set you up. Your fit does not seem very well. If you were set up by a DME ask them to try out some other styles and then make a decision.

One user suggests the Breeze. Very good trusted alternative to the nasal mask.

Security Problems bringing CPAP machine on Airplanes.

Hello Dijack, The FAA clasifies a CPAP as a medical device and it does not count against the number of carry-on bags. I have listened to many people who use CPAP and fly. Generally the biggest problem is the one I mentioned above. I have not heard of any major security issues. Most patients who have...
