Re: DME says must use "default machine"
I bought two Resmed airsense 10 autoset (a for her and a regular) this year. They both came with a sd card. They both say Resmed on the card, so they came with the machine. Tell them you want the sd card. JPB I bought both from our sponsor. https://www.cpap.com https://www.cpap.com Thank you!

Re: DME says must use "default machine"
Ok, the NP wrote it for the machine I requested. Now, my machine didn't come with an SD card, she said u didn't need it?! But, when I take my sister to get her machine tomorrow, should it come with one? I know I can buy one relatively inexpensive. I just her to get what she's supposed to. Thanks!

Re: Anyone else waking up constantly throughout the night?
I am an abuser of caffeine starting from the moment I wake up, and about 2-3 nights a week I will have a beer or a glass or 2 of wine around dinner time. All of these things seem to correspond with awful sleep. I think this cycle is sending my anxiety/stress levels through the roof. I'm not very go...

Re: ResMed new nasal cradle mask - AirFit N30
I have a habit of buying new masks when they come out. Well over 14 now. But this one I will pass on for now. I would consider it as a replacement for the P10 I keep in my travel cpap case. But the only advantage I see is the adjustable hose. Like Pugsy mentioned, I might just buy a headstrap and s...

Re: Possible scam?
So thankful I read this thread. Reached over and checked and..... You guessed it.
My humidifier was almost empty! So thank you. I won't have to ruin my sleep to fill it!!

Re: DME says must use "default machine"
Thanks everyone. I'm going to call the NP that wrote the order. She's really cool and I'm sure she'll change to whatever machine I request. When they sent the order, she hadn't specified which machine, so DME said their default was what she would have to take. I'll get it cleared up tomorrow. Withou...

DME says must use "default machine"
Hi there. I recently started CPAP and am happy with my set up. However, my sister just had a home sleep study done. AHI 5.3, SATs dropped to around 72%. She has some cognitive impairment due to surgery for a ruptured aneurysm 5 years ago. I called to set up the appt. and asked about the machine. The...

Re: myair resmed results page
I find it suspicious that Resmed's MyAir (https://myair.resmed.com ) invariably gives me great scores whenever I keep the mask for longer hours (thereby using the machine for at least 5 hous per night), and this is so even when my AHI scores suck. During the last 9 days, my AHI has never dropped un...

Re: Distiller for water?
A gallon of distilled water can be had at almost any supermarket for under $1.50. No need to brew your own! Some people have trouble wagging around 8lbs of water, unnecessarily. It's not always about the ongoing cost. Now if it was a Gallon of Beer, or a Case of Cigs, they could handle that! ...

Re: Dreamwear mask irritation & other newbie questions
That OA looks legit to my eyes. The flow limitations do seem a bit "active" but you are in the for Her mode and it always makes mountains out of mole hills in that mode so I don't know that I would worry too much about it. If you are having any nasal congestion that will sometimes make the Fl graph...

Re: Dreamwear mask irritation & other newbie questions
My first suspect for the need to nap would be the Venlafaxine. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_adverse_effects_of_venlafaxine somnolence is a known side effect.....drowsiness or sleepiness ....strong desire for sleep. SNRI drugs (of which it belongs to that class) are well known to mess with ...

Re: Dreamwear mask irritation & other newbie questions
Nothing of great excitement on that report to point to why you might feel a need for a nap. Do you wake often during the night? Do you take any medications of any kind? If so, what? I know. I thought it looked pretty good. I don't wake up often, at all, anymore. Sometimes once for a potty break. Bu...

Re: Dreamwear mask irritation & other newbie questions
Ok, here's my OSCAR from last night. I think most of the OA's have arousals right before them. I'm feeling pretty good upon wakening, but swear I could go right back to sleep if I didn't need to get up. I'm not sure what's happening. I've found myself napping a couple times a week, in the afternoon...

Re: Dreamwear mask irritation & other newbie questions
Went to see my neurologist today. She's the one that ordered the sleep study, for which I'm very grateful. She's very happy with my results. I'll post my OSCAR data tomorrow. Funny thing is she said we'll just keep the settings the same. I don't think she realized I went from 4/20 to 7/20!!
