Re: bother trying PaP again after aerophagia failures w/ LPR?
Am still working on trying to boost low ferritin, which can cause sleep disturbances, and is likely compounded by the autoimmune gastritis... if you don't have enough b12, you won't process iron properly. Just had bloodwork done again, we'll see how that is. Never had an iron infusion, but most doc...

Re: bother trying PaP again after aerophagia failures w/ LPR?
well this seems timely. Still nothing good to report, and worse than the last time I posted. Since then, obtained a Resmed Aircurve 10 vauto. But I have hardly used it because of stubborn congestion. May have a 2nd turbinate reduction (had one back in 2013, but it seems to have grown back, according...

severe tingling in extremities after a few hours of pap
Assuming no comorbidities that would cause it, is hyperventilating the primary reason this would happen? I'm attempting pap therapy for the nth time. This time with new bipap machine. The few times I have successfully fell asleep with the mask on (nasal pillows), I have woken up after 3 or 4 hours w...

Re: breathing with or against pap?
Thanks for all the answers. I've got a ResMed Aircurve 10 right now. Historically, I have always, always felt, in my prior pap attempts with a variety of machines (other pap problems notwithstanding like mask type etc), much like the other posters. Either I always felt like I could never get enough ...

breathing with or against pap?
I am not new to Pap machines, but I’m about to try again having failed previously to adapt for variety of reasons. I totally understand that there are a variety of factors involved in successfully adapting to pap therapy. I previously tried cpap, bi, & apap, so you’d think I would understand this by...

Re: bother trying PaP again after aerophagia failures w/ LPR?
Thank you all for your input. : ) you answer one of pugsy's questions. but you missed this- "When you tried various machines 7 years ago do you know or remember if you ever tried a bipap/bilevel machine?" Yes, indeed I did. I was on cpap first, then bipap of some kind, then apap (auto?pap). They adj...

Thanks for your reply. Yes, a few people have mentioned UARS. Still, it's been an ongoing fight and the silent reflux keeps getting worse, so that may need taking care of first.

Re: cpap titration during covid
Why do you need the Sleep Study if you just had one in June....Your provider has his own Sleep Lab??? Seems like you have had several..Seems excessive. I had 1 in 12 years. Yes the provider has their own lab. Several I think? Anyway my understanding is the they'll be titrating me for cpap, it's unc...

bother trying PaP again after aerophagia failures w/ LPR?
Hello CpapTalkers. I'm not sure this is the right forum to ask about this but I am nearly out of options and feel like I have spoken to nearly everybody. I guess next stop may be surgery if I can think straight enough to figure that out. Please excuse the length of my history. My sleep doctor wants ...

cpap titration during covid
Hello CPaptalkers. I am concerned about getting titrated for Cpap at my provider's office. I had a sleep study back in June and I felt pretty comfortable having it done as it was just me and the one sleep tech in the lab. For this they tell me there may be myself and one other patient with the tech....
