Adjust min. pressure because of mask change?
Hi! I’ve now struggeled 2.5 years with my apap and found out that I’m amongst the most delicate fragile users out there. 😅 I’ve tried all masks there is, not kidding. If I wouldn’t have had the sweetest apnea nurse I believe I’d be dead today. I was in such severe sleep deprivation when finally diag...

Re: Same settings on diff. paps - different outcome - any ideas?
Interested in your sleep medication Rubysue1 - you took it every night for a longer period - how did it go when tapering off? I really have to convince my dr. to make a better plan getting my sleep back. My sleep hygien is as good as it can be regarding my situation. When I ran out of Belsomra earl...

Re: Same settings on diff. paps - different outcome - any ideas?
One possible hypothesis for why you might feel better on the Lumis: Your body is so sensitive to the changing pressures on the AutoSet that your sleep is just simply more fragmented with spontaneous arousals when you use that machine. In that case, you might do much better using the Lumis in S mode...

Re: Same settings on diff. paps - different outcome - any ideas?
I tried both my machines at the same settings Auto 5.6/7 no EPR and Lumis ipap 7 epap 5.6 - and the outcome is quite different, Those are not even faintly the same settings. You set up the Auto to vary the pressure is supplies between a minimum of 5.6 and maximum of 7. In addition, you set it up to...

Same settings on diff. paps - different outcome - any ideas?
Hi! Me again, still struggling to optimize treatment :) Will continue this until I'm 6 ft. under... as I feel that my sleep quality is what rules my energy during the day. Shitty sleep and I'm a brainfogged dizzy zombie unable to get out of bed, ok sleep and I manage to have conversations, write thi...

Re: Tidal volume, respiratory rate, minute vent - should I care, how correct do the show?
Hi! I'm far from feeling refreshed when I wake up, I always feel much worse than when going to bed. It feels like half of my day goes to "sobering up" from my pap. Usually somewhere around dinner my brain starts working a lot better and it feel like I've recovered, only to repeat the following day....

Re: Managing OSA and IH
I find it helpful to hear all these experiences with the P10, because I myself sometimes feel slightly suffocated by it. There's a pretty noticeable difference between the P10 and the Swift FX in terms of ease of exhale for me (and the difference in venting is apparent as well from placing my hands...

Flow rate i Oscar Resmed Lumis 100 (VPAP ST)
Hi! I'm trying Resmed Lumis 100 (VPAP ST) for a couple of nights, mode S, but when I import the data in Oscar, I can't see any chart or statistics for FL. Am I doing something wrong or doesn't this machine register FL in mode S (or at all)? I feel I need to se the FL to be able to analyze for findin...

Re: Concentration apneas when awake
Hi, thanks for answering. I know that I can't do anything pappy about "apneas" when awake, don't intended to ask for that. Just wondering if you thought that those numbers were alarming although I was having them when awake. You people know so much about breathing in general so I thought I'd just ch...

Concentration apneas when awake
Hi! Happened to lie awake an hour scrolling, with my pap on. I know that I tend to pause breathing when concentrating but AHI 60‽ Should I be worried in any way? As a kid my parents had to remind me to breathe when concentrating, as adult - my husband reminds me. When alone, I seemingly don't breath...

Need help with inspiration/expiration time and FR/FL.
Hi! I keep struggling to optimize my pap treatment in hope of getting more energy back. I’m also severely ill in ME/Cfs so every percent counts immensely. 1. When reading about inspiration and expiration time, the expiration shall be longer than the inspiration, a ratio around 1:2 at least. Looking ...

Re: Should I set a higher pressure? Apap + nosepillow.
<3 Interesting is that tonights data showed 0.5 FL for a stretch of about 15 min. when I was wide awake reading a book. We pretty much just have to ignore what the machine might report when we know we weren't asleep. Our awake breathing is just more irregular than asleep breathing but the machine on...
